eleanor anne kavinsky.

before she knew it, eleanor was leaving tokyo but this time, grace was by her side. throughout her time in tokyo, the two had been inseparable and at that moment in time, eleanor had no intention of leaving grace again but she couldn't say the same for her. but this time, grace seemed like she actually wanted to be with eleanor and that she was actually enjoying her presence rather than treating her like the burden she when the two had left to start their life together. it felt nice... eleanor felt good for the first time in a long time.

all while eleanor finally felt good, chris, who was only concerned for her out of his love for her, had been trying to remind eleanor of what grace had done to her before and that all the love that grace was giving her was only to manipulate her into doing her bidding but classic eleanor who was blinded by her happiness snapped at him and scolded him for interfering in her personal life when he was meant to be doing his job. poor chris, who was only trying to help, mumbled an apology and scuttled away to do something or the other about the label trying to extend eleanor's tour.

on the plane going back to la, grace (at the dismay of chris and the rest of eleanor's team who knew she was bad news) sat next to eleanor and eleanor tried to savour the feeling of grace by her side, a small part of her expecting grace to get up and leave her as soon as the plane landed, but to her surprise, she stayed. not wanting to get in any trouble with the media and trying to protect eleanor's image, the two had to part ways at the airport but grace kissed her softly and promised her that she would see her tomorrow and said that she had some business to take care of.

whatever it was, eleanor didn't care. she was sure that she was in love. ("more like blinded by love," chris rolled his eyes behind her back to leo, eleanor's photographer.)

eleanor loaded into her car after taking some pictures with some fans who screamed for her as soon as she walked out of the airport. she sat in between her assistant and chris who was busy on his phone checking his emails. the driver took off and eleanor rested her head on chris's shoulder and sighed, "i'm sorry. i shouldn't have snapped at you and humiliated you in front of the team. that was an asshole move, i'm sorry," eleanor paused, "but that also doesn't mean you get to criticise my relationships, especially right in front of that person. that's just shitty."

chris hummed in agreement, "but all i want is the best for you. i hope you realise that. and sometimes you don't always see clearly because your blinded by love-"

"at least i'm happy! i haven't been that happy in a long time. if you wanted the best for me then you would think that grace is good for me..." eleanor trailed off and chris remained silent as she poke.

"i don't want to fight. i love you e, i just want what's best for you," he sighed, dropping his head on top of hers.

"i know," eleanor stubbornly admitted, "and i love you too."

to eleanor, saying that she loved someone was a big deal. then again, who could blame her? love was a complicated thing, both romantically and platonically, and for someone who had been fucked over more times than one could count it was even more complicated. it was only a year ago when she truly realised that chris was there to help her, not use her. she just hoped, no prayed, that chris wouldn't betray her anytime in the future. and if he did? eleanor had no idea what she would do.

as for miss marina jane hernandez? she had helped out eleanor out more times than she could count. from when she saw eleanor singing for quarters on the subway and offering a hand to help her out of homelessness and giving her her very first performance at her bar where she sang video games for the first time to making sure she had links to everyone she needed to know (even if she had to do it the dirty way). and the fact that marina had expected nothing in return for her favours blew eleanor away. if it wasn't for marina, eleanor would most likely be dead - and that wasn't exactly something she wanted to think about.
