Chapter 6

 ((A/N)): Picture is of the meadow they are in!!

We walked outside to the middle of the meadow, "Okay so we are going to be focusing on your vision, hearing, and figuring out what your power is. We'll start with vision and hearing, trying to focus them. Raiju will hide in the forest, he knows them and you will try to track him down by using sight, hearing, and smell got it?" Norrix asked.

"Yup got it." I said nodding my head.

"Okay close your eyes and focus on Raiju, his breathing, the way the wind rustles his fur, the sound of the grass crunching under his paws." Norrix said.

Closing my eyes I tried focusing on Raiju, my forehead creasing in concertation. At first I got nothing I was about to give up when I heard his breathing then his heart beat and lastly his fur moving in the wind, "I think I got it now."

"Okay let's do this then. Go on Raiju, go hide. Tana stay focused on him the whole time but keep your eyes closed." Norrix said

I nodded keeping my eyes closed, hearing Raiju take off at a dead run. It would seem not only was he twice the size of a regular wolf but he was about three times as fast as one too, he could probably keep up with a vampire. I knew the second he entered the forest by the sounds of twigs and leaves breaking and crunching under his paws. Raiju ran for about two minutes till he slowed and I heard him start walking on stone, there was an echo to it...He's in a cave!

Opening my eyes I looked at Norrix and Ryder and said, "Okay he stopped, I think he's in a cave."

"Don't just think, be sure he is, cause it's possible you're wrong, try focusing again." Ryder said.

I closed my eyes again focusing on my senses, pushing them outward until I sense him again but I didn't just hear him it was like I could see him but not normally more like a bat does when they use sonar. I knew that he was in fact in a cave, a small one at the base of a cliff, there was a stream and a small waterfall near by. Raiju was near the back of the cave pacing back and forth.

"This is so weird.." I whispered

"What is?" Norrix questioned

"It's like I'm there, I can see everything, like a bat would when it uses sonar. Raiju is in a small cave at the base of a cliff that has a waterfall and a stream near the opening of the cave, which is slightly hidden by two enormous boulders on either side of the entrance. Raiju is in the back of it pacing back and forth." I said describing what I was seeing.

When I didn't get a response I opened my eyes to find two men with shocked faces, "Tana you shouldn't be able to see anything, I was talking about following him by listening and smell. I've never heard of a vampire being able to do something like that. But let's go track Raiju down then we'll figure out if it's your power or not." Ryder said

"Find where Raiju entered the forest and follow his trail," Norrix said

I nodded searching the edge of the meadow for any sign. I couldn't see any so I tired focusing even harder on the forest line. After a few moments it was like I pressed the zoom button and I was looking closely at a freshly broken branch, "I found it." I said then I raced off, the guys quickly following behind me. I stopped at the branch, catching the scent of Raiju and it was like once I picked it up his scent was a visible green colored mist appeared and it mapped out a trail...it was freaky as fuck!

"Now look for more signs for what way he went like more broken twigs or crushed leaves." Norrix suggested

"What?? why would I have to do that? I can smell him and see his scent." I said confused, my brows furrowing as I questioned them.
