We all entered the living room to find a very pissed off Beth standing in the middle of the living room, her hands fisted at her sides and a guilty looking Norrix who just stared at the ground, a quiet mom and a terrified Bryan.

Beth's attention snapped to me, "Vampires? You didn't think to MENTION you were traveling with VAMPIRES!!?"

Ryder looked at Norrix and asked in a low growl, "What in the fucking hell did you do?"

Norrix's head snapped up reveling his very angry vamp eyes, "You'd best remember who you are speaking to and your place, we may be in the human world but I am still your king and you shall treat as such!" He responded, his voice booming throughout the room.

"I apologize my Lord, it will not happen again," Ryder said bowing his head, "But what happened?"

Bryan and Beth both squeaked out, "King?"

"Yes King, I had stepped into the kitchen to drink the elixir not realizing she had followed me until she spoke asking if I wanted to and I quote 'take a tumble in the streets with her', I looked up without thinking and she saw my eyes then she threatened things to my manhood if I didn't tell her what I was."

I bust out laughing, I couldn't help it.

"Excuse me Tana I don't find this amusing at all," Norrix said angrily 

"I do you're the king of vampires and you're scared of a tiny little human girl that couldn't hurt you even if she tried," I said starting to laugh again and so did everyone else.

"Hey any man, Fae or not would in their right mind fear a woman threatening those sort of things!" Norrix huffed.

"Okay okay calm down." I said trying to catch my breath.

"I'd still have sex with you," Beth said winking at him. 

"Little girl I am way to old for you."

"You can't be that old but either way you're still sexy."

"Honey Tana is my daughter and I am old enough to be an ancestor of yours."

"Daughter? How old are you exactly? you don't look older than 27 max." Beth asked bewildered.

"I am more than 4,000 years old."

"Oh wow...Eh I'd still do you." Beth said shrugging her shoulders

"Tana your friend is weird as shit," Norrix said pointing at her then he whispered, "It scares me that I kind of find her attractive, I think we need to leave," Beth touched his arm and using his vamp speed he was standing behind us in a second, "like now." He said eyeing Beth.

"Okay." I laughed. "No! You're not leaving until you explain," Beth said grabbing me.

"What do you want to know." I asked as I sat on the couch next to her.

"Did you know when you left with them that they were vampires?"

"No," I said as I looked over at Ryder, he just threw his arms up in the air exasperated.

"Fine tell them but I swear if you tell another human I'll kill them." he finished mumbling, "I'm going to die of stress long before HE will ever get a chance."

"I haven't been traveling Beth," I said looking back to her.

"Are you one of them?" she asked.

"Not entirely?" I said phrasing it like a question, trying to figure out how to not tell her everything but satisfy her need for answers.
