Chapter 10

We walked into a stadium size gym with mats on one side and racks and racks of weapons on the other. There were men dueling each other, some with swords or other weapons, others just in hand to hand combat.

"Okay I gotta go, stay on the matted side so you don't get hurt." Ryder said.

"Oh I am probably going to get hurt Beth and I go all out when we spar, we don't hold back."

"Damn that's hot." Ryder said grabbing my face and kissing me before letting me and walking away.

"Jesus that kiss even turned me on." Beth said with a jealous sigh.

"Beth really?" I said turning to look at her, ducking just barely avoiding her fist. Remembering Ryder wanted us on the mats so I lunged for her mid section and threw over my shoulder before I sped over to the mats, a second later I slammed her down on the mats with a thud, her grunt echoing through the gym. She recovered quickly and kicked me off her sending me backwards.

I rolled into a kneeling position just in time for her leg to connect with my side painfully. Groaning I stood up dodging her fist as it flew to my face, I grabbed her arm twisting it behind her back while kicking her legs out from under her making her land on the mat with a thud. I released her and jump away putting my fists up.

She came up swinging, catching me in the mouth, I instantly tasted blood but I ignored it and struck my fist out connecting with her jaw. She caught my arm as it retreated and pulled , bringing me forward where she head butted me hard enough I saw stars for a second and ended up on my ass. I kicked my leg out and spun connecting with her ankles bringing her down while my fist up to meet her jaw again.

I froze as soon as I smelt her blood, I felt my fangs lengthen though I didn't want her blood but it did make me hunger for blood." Beth time out I'm not use to this anymore I need a break." I said not looking at her.

She huffed and laid down on the mats, "me too, I've been lazy since you've left."

Laughing I said, "I'll get us some water and towels." I turned to find people had stopped what they had been doing to watch us. Ryder walked over and handed me a couple waters and two towels, I threw one of each at Beth while drinking my water.

"Jesus I thought you were joking, everyone thought you guy were trying to kill each other. Beth actually punch one of them when he tried to break you two up...wait what's wrong?" he asked when he caught a look at my glowing eyes.

"she started bleeding and it made me hungry, but not for hers." I said.

"Come on let's go feed you then you should be fine to fight her." Ryder said.

I nodded my head as I walked over to Beth and said, "Beth um I stopped the fight cause when your lip started to bleed I got hungry so I'll be right back then I'll be good to fight again."

"Oh ok, are you okay to fight? We can stop for today if you'd like I don't want to put you in a difficult situation." Beth said concerned, Surprisingly the concern was all for me and none for herself. God I love her, she's not scared I'll attack her for her blood.

"I have no desire for your blood Beth, you made me hungry but I didn't want your blood." I said with a small smile.

"Well now I'm offended? What my blood isn't good enough ?" Beth asked laughing.

"I explain later promise, that conversation is a private one." I said getting up and walking out of the gym with Ryder, "I know you said not to tell anyone but having her know might be helpful." I said.

"You're right it would," Ryder said as he pulled me into a room locking the door.

He dragged me close kissing me then said, "you know I've never seen a fight that turned me on before, how did I not know you took all those fighting classes? I checked up on you all the time while you were growing up."
