Chapter 36

Jimin's POV

"Is Lilly here?" I say to Mrs. Williams. "No, she's out riding Hyun-jin's motorcycle with him."

He has a motorcycle? Wait, of course he does.

"But do come in." She says, holding the door open for me. I walk in and sit on the couch.

"Is something wrong, Mrs. Williams?" She sits down on the couch opposite of me. "Oh, nothing at all. We've just never formally sat down and talked before." "Oh, ok."

"So, Jimin, you're seventeen, right?" "Yes, ma'am." "Do you know what you wanna do in your future?" "Um, I have an idea. I wanna design video games, or do anything that involves computers."

"Mm, video games," She says, nodding. "Lilly loves those. Another question: do you see Lilly in it?" She says the question with a brow raised.

"U-um, excuse me?" I say, my eyes big and pupils quickly darting. "Oh, Jimin, I know you like my daughter. It's easy to see, really."

"I-uh..." "Cat got your tongue?," She chuckles with a smile. "Jimin, you're a gorgeous boy. I'm pretty sure my daughter has an interest in you."

"Um, well, uh, I wouldn't know that." "And I'm pretty sure she knows you like her. My daughter's smart. Like me, she can pick up on things, quite quickly. Knowing her, she's probably just waiting for you to say it."

"Uhhhh...." "Now, with that said," She says as she leans forward, resting her elbows on her knees, her hands clasped together in front of her mouth. "What's taking you so long?"

"I'm....I...." I spit out, searching for some words to say. She gets up and walks over to me, sitting down next to me, her hand on my back.

Sitting this close to her and looking at her face, you can clearly see that Lilly is the spitting image of her.

I look into her eyes as she speaks. "You know, Jimin, I'm quite fond of you, and I think Lilly is, too, but I'm sure she's quite fond of other boys, as well. Especially Hyun-jin. All of the other boys you guys hang out with are attractive, but especially him."

"Um, yes ma'am?" I say, a confused expression on my face. Where is she going with this?

She takes note of my confusion. "What I'm saying is, Lilly has options, and you need to shoot your shot before you're not one of them anymore. You see she's out with Hyun-jin right now. Probably holding onto him tight. Don't you want that to be you?"

"I...I...." "Just think about it, Jimin. I'd love to see you happy with her. You're a nice boy, and you deserve it, but remember, closed mouths don't get fed."
