Chapter 100

Namjoon's POV

   I ring the doorbell.  "Hey, Namjoon.  What brings you here?"  Mrs. Williams says with a smile.

"Hi, Mrs. Williams.  I was wondering if you've seen Lilly lately.  She's been missing a lot of school, hasn't answered most of my calls, and only answered one of my texts.  I'm worried about her."

"She's WHAT?!"  "Yes ma'am.  You haven't noticed?"  I question with a brow raised.  "No.  I've been swamped with work.  A lot of people quit at my job, so I haven't really been home.  How dare she miss school?!"

"I don't know, but this isn't like her.  What if she's in serious trouble?"  "Go with me to look for her.  We'll go next door.  Maybe she's with Min-seo."  "Yes ma'am."

We go next door.  She knocks on the door.  Min-seo opens it.  She greets us both before we return the greeting.

"Min-seo, I'm LillyRose's mother."  "Oh, nice to meet you."  "Same to you."  "So, what brings you guys here?"

"Min-seo, have you seen Lilly?  She's been missing."  I say.  "Um, no, sorry."  "May we please look for her?"  Mrs. Williams says.

"Yeah, sure."  She lets us in.  "I'll lead us to Jimin's room."  I say.

We walk until we reach the door.  She knocks on it.  No answer.

She knocks again.  Still no answer.

She slowly opens the door, revealing LillyRose and Jimin standing in the room, nervously looking at us.

LillyRose's POV

When I heard those knocks on the door, my heart almost beat out of my chest.  As soon as I saw my mom and Namjoon standing there, my stomach fell to my ass.

"LILLYROSE ANALISE AMMERIE WILLIAMS, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"  "M-Mom, I can explain!"

"GETCHO ASS OUT OF THIS HOUSE, RIGHT NOW!"  "Y-Yes ma'am."  I scamper over to the closet and retrieve my bag.

I give Jimin one last look.  "NOW!"  I walk out of the room, her angrily following behind me.

My mom has calmed down, but she's still pretty upset.  I just hope Jimin's ok.

"LillyRose, what has gotten into you, young lady?  You've been missing school.  You had a whole bag packed.  What is going on?  I expect better of you."

"Mom, let me explain."  "Go ahead."  I sigh.  "Jimin's been depressed ever since I broke up with him.  I meant everything to him.  He locked himself in his room.  I went to find him, and when I did, what I saw was heartbreaking,"  I say, my eyes watering.  "He was sitting on the floor, a knife on the floor close to him.  He hadn't come out of his room at all.  Hadn't showered, brushed his teeth, eaten.  So I stayed with him and took care of him.  Mom, I'm sorry I left without saying anything, but I couldn't bear to see him like that."  I say, full-on tears flowing down my cheeks uncontrollably.

Her expression softens as she looks at me.  "Aaaawww, Lilly.  Now that I know the situation, I see why you did what you did.  You're a good person."

"Wait, so- so you're not mad?"  "I was, but now I'm not.  I was so worried about you.  Just please never do this again."  "Yes ma'am."

She gives me a tight hug.  "I love you, Lilly."  "I love you, too, Ma."

My mom just left my room.  I look at the ring on my dresser.  I just couldn't throw it away.

I wonder if Jimin's ok.  What's gonna happen now that I'm not there with him anymore?
