Chapter 83

LillyRose's POV

   I had made a police report against Mr. Raunch.  I already know this is going to have to go to trial.  Never thought I'd be pressing charges against my teacher.

Of course the school notified my mother of the situation, so here I am trying to keep her sane now.

"I'm gonna kill him.  Can I kill him?  I'm gonna kill him."  She says.  "Ma, there's no need to do any of that.  He's already been arrested."

"But how dare he attempt to assault my child?  And what if he makes it out on bail?"  "Surely, he's been fired, Ma.  I won't have to worry about him."

Mr. Reese's POV

When I got my one phone call, I called Marishka, and she said she's divorcing me and running off with Tom.  She wants to take everything from me, too.

All my money, my cars, the vacation home where I bring my girls.  I didn't even know how she knew about it, but then it hit me.  That bastard must've ratted me out.

LillyRose's POV

"My name is Mr. Kim, and I will be your new teacher for the rest of the year."  I look over at Jimin, seeing the frown on his face.  He raises an eyebrow, his eyes glued to the new teacher's face.

Oh lord, I'm gonna have to explain this to him.

It's lunchtime now, and I already know I'm gonna have to break it to him sooner or later.  I just don't want to do it.

"Guys, how come Mr. Reese isn't our teacher anymore?"  Jimin questions, pure cluelessness on his face.

There it is.  The one question I didn't want him to ask, but I knew he would.

Some of the boys' eyes go wide while Tae looks to the side and sips from his straw.

I guess I just have to rip off the bandage.  "Um....he tried to rape me."

"What?.....wHAT?!"  He says as soon as the words leave my mouth.  He gets up and starts to walk away.

"Wait, Jimin, no..."  I say, looking up at him.  I follow him outside of the cafeteria.  He starts crying hysterically, sitting with his back against the wall and his knees to his chest, his head down in his folded arms.

I kneel down beside him and start rubbing his back in circles.  "Jimin, it's ok.  Don't cry."  I gently say, looking at him with sad eyes.  Seeing Jimin cry makes me want to cry.

"No!  It's not ok!  He tried to harm you!"  I start hugging him.  "He tried to hurt you...."  "I know, but he didn't.  Yoongi was there to save me."

"I wasn't there....I shouldn't have went to that stupid doctor's appointment!"  "But Jimin, I didn't get raped.  Yoongi was there."

"But what if he wasn't?  If I was there, it wouldn't have even happened!  I should've been there!  I should've been there...."

I have full-on tears rolling down my cheeks now.  "Jimin, you can't blame yourself for this.  This isn't your fault.  You can't control what he does."

"But I wasn't there for you, Lilly....  I wasn't.  There." 

He continues to cry as I hold him with all my strength.
