Chapter 95

LillyRose's POV

   "Roll the footage."  The judge says.  As the footage of the incident plays, my eyes scan around the room.  They land on Jimin.  Our eyes lock for a moment before I look away, paying attention to the front.

Jimin's POV

I know Lilly and I are in a weird place right now, but I'm still going to be here in this courtroom for her.  I care about Lilly, and I love her.  Even if we weren't to have romantic history, I would still be here today and any other day.

LillyRose's POV

I knock on the door.  Shortly after, Jin's eomma opens it, greeting me with a smile.  "Oooh, hello.  You must be LillyRose."

I smile back.  "Yes ma'am, I am.  It's very nice to meet you, Ms. Kim."  "The pleasure's all mine.  Jin is in his room.  You're welcomed to go upstairs."

"Thank you, Ms. Kim."  She lets me in and I head to his room.  I knock on his door.

"Oh, hey, Lilly.  I wasn't expecting company."  He says with a smile.  "I hope I'm not interrupting anything important."

"No, not at all, actually."  He opens up the door all the way and I walk in and sit down on his bed.

He closes the door back and takes his spot next to me.  "What's up, Lilly?"  "I just wanted to talk to you to see where you stand in all of this and get your take on everything that's happened and is happening."

"Oh, well, for starters, I'm neutral in the situation, really.  I'm friends with all of you guys.  I'm really just going with the flow.  I'll hang out with whoever I feel like hanging out with."

"That's good,"  I say, nodding my head.  "How do you feel about the 'me and Namjoon's past' thing?" 

"Mmm, honestly, I think it's sorta messed up, but at the end of the day, you can't help how you feel."

"Well, I mean, we were only friends with benefits.  It wasn't anything emotional.  I mean, at least it wasn't supposed to be."

"Mm.  So why did you do it?"  "I needed to take my mind off of Jimin.  The situation was complicated at the time."

"So was there any actual attraction between you two?"  "Of course there was, I mean, look at Namjoon.  He's gorgeous and has a dope personality.  All of you guys are attractive, if I'm being honest."

"Thanks for the compliment."  He slightly smiles.  "You're welcome."  A few moments of silence go by, me looking away from him.

"Jin, do things feel weird to you now?"  I break the silence, looking at him again.

"Yeah, they do.  We're all divided.  It looks bad now, but things will get better over time." 

"You're so optimistic.  How can you be so sure?"  "That's the thing.  We never know what's going to happen in certain situations, but we have to put positive outcomes into the universe.  What you put out is what goes back in."

"Woah.  Why does that sound like something Namjoon would say?"  I smally smile a one-sided smile.

"Because Namjoon and I are both wise men."  He chuckles.  I chuckle as well.  "Thanks for this, Jin.  I'm just so worried about the group."

"Lilly, trust me, things will go back to normal.  In due time, we'll be fine."  He gives me a small smile, his cheeks puffing.  Aw.  It's so cute.

"Hey, so, uh...sit with us tomorrow?"  "Sure.  No problem."  "Well, I'll just get going then.  It was nice talking to you.  See you tomorrow."  We hug each other before I leave his house.

"Did you notice Jimin sitting in the courtroom?"  "Oh, really?  He was there?"  "Yeah."  "Of course he was there.  He cares about you a lot.  It's not weird or anything."

"It isn't?"  "Heck no.  Lilly, at the end of the day, as I said earlier, Jimin cares about you.  Whether it's as a girlfriend or a friend.  I think he'd want you in his life no matter which way you're in it."

"Wait, so, you're not mad?"  "Of course not.  He cares about you, and he's entitled to that.  He's not the type to just have history with someone and stop caring about them that quick.  And at least you know he cares about you.  The more people that care about you, the better.  It's reassuring to me to know that multiple people care about you."

"You're right.  I guess I'm seeing this all wrong."  "No worries,"  He smiles.  "Goodnight, Baby."  "Goodnight, Namjoon."

He turns off the lamp and we go to sleep.
