The Dance Of Death

Annah couldn't quite understand why she's nervous.

Recently hindi siya makaalis ng hindi nangangamba para sa sarili niya.

Takot siya ngunit di naman niya ma pinpoint kung ano nga ba talaga ang mali sa paligid niya. Maybe it was the warm wind caressing her face, the silence of the people around her maybe?

But she walked inside the huge stadium, puzzled, for she couldn't quite understand why she couldn't hear any music.

Pag-pasok niya, there were the beaming lights, people were already dancing to a familiar song and there stood in the middle was the guy she tried to avoid for weeks now.. Dark.

"Dark.." she whispered.

A soft voice whispered to her ear "don't"

Napalingon siya sa haplos ng isang pamilyar na boses sa kanyang tenga.

But her eyes landed on the same person who had those brooding dark eyes and he was smiling while walking towards her.

She stilled and when he finally got to her, he offered his hand like nothing happened on their last meeting.

"Annah.." he called her.

She blinked twice, hindi naramdaman ang pamilyar na boses.

"can we dance?" he asked.

Parang tanga na napatango lang siya and when he accepted his hand, nanlamig siya, it was not Dark.

The familiarity was long gone, parang ibang tao ang kausap niya at ang humawak sa kanya.

He lead her to the center and they started dancing to the tune of once upon a dream by Lana Del Rey.

Sa sobrang pagkadala niya ay halos hindi na niya mapansin ang mga nasa paligid niya.

She looked into his eyes, they weren't smiling like they used to. Kinikilabutan siya na parang hindi nga ito si Dark.

He was smiling at her, she searched for the warmth but no, it was like an evil stranger was warning her.

His hand slowly made its way up to her neck and stayed there, holding her.

She looked into his eyes once again, she never felt determination like this before, he just looked at him, the same way she did before and anticipated for her Dark to come back and this is the only way to test it.

She flinched when his hand held her wrist, and pulled her neck to kiss her. When she felt his lips, it's a confirmation that he is not him.

Her system went havoc nang maramdaman ang isang malamig na bagay sa leeg niya. It was a small syringe containing a venom that can freeze a person's heart within seconds.

She slowly pulled away and looked at him.

"D-Dark.."

"shhhh.." he whispered and looked into her eyes.

Suddenly, a glimpse of longing fell into his eyes and she knew it was him.

Unti-unti nitong binitawan ang leeg niya and she was pre-occupied by his eyes when he suddenly shut his eyelids like he's somewhat controlling himself.

"Dark please open your eyes.." she said and held his face.

Iniwas naman nito ang mukha niya at nang imulat ang mata ay nawala na ang Dark niya..

He smiled and let go of his wrist.

"you're lucky tonight.." he said and walked away.

Parang naguunahan naman tumulo ang mga luha niya. Nang makaalis ng tuluyan si Dark tsaka niya lang naramdaman ang hapdi sa kaniyang pulso and when she looked at her wrist, she was mortified to see a cut on her wrist.

She held her breath in shock and searched the whole place for Dark.

When he finally found him she saw him simply putting something on a drink.

Sigurado siyang may binabalak itong masama at nang makita na si Leo, ang kanyang kasintahan ang iinom nito ay kaagad siyang tumakbo.

"Leo!!" she shouted.

Ngunit huli na dahil nainom  na ni Leo ang inumin. He started being pale and held his neck.

"Leo shit! What's happening to you!?" sigaw niya nang makalapit sa kasintahan.

She immediately called for help and the medic came right on time.

She was shaking when she looked at the large entrance umawang ito ng kaunti and she saw Dark smiling with contentment as he left the place.
