Davey walked up to the door of Medda's theater, awkwardly holding a tray of his mom's homemade cookies. He knocked on the door, rocking back and forth on his heels as he waited for someone to answer it. It ended up being Crutchie who opened the door and let Davey inside.

"Welcome to the Christmas party!" He smiled as Davey walked in. "Food and drinks are over there, beware of the mistletoe, be even more aware of the mistlefoe, and see Race for song requests."

"What's a mistlefoe?" Davey asked.

"Jojo saw it on tumblr and thought it was a good idea. You fight someone instead of kissing them." Crutchie explained, pointing to what looked exactly like mistletoe, but was red. "We soak pieces of mistletoe in red paint the night before and hang it up."

"Cool." Davey nodded.

"Ay! Davey boy is here!" Jack grinned, wrapping an arm around Davey.

"Hi Davey." Katherine, who seemed to be supervising her boyfriend, smiled and waved at him.

"Hey Katherine. You glad we weren't assigned homework over the break?" Davey waved a little.

"I would have slammed the teachers in an article if we did." She laughed a little.

"I would have been right alongside you. In my old school, we always got homework over break." Davey said.

"Oh really? That must have sucked." Katherine winced at the thought.

"It did." Davey nodded.

"Hey, Dave, why did you change schools?" Jack interrupted.

"Um, well, my dad's leg got messed up at work and they had to fire him. We didn't have enough money to keep me and my brother in private school and put my sister, Sarah, through college. So I volunteered me and my brother to switch to public school so she could finish up her education." Davey explained. "My little brother, Les, wasn't too happy at first, but he's learned to handle it."

"And you?" Katherine asked. "How are you liking it?"

Davey grinned. "I love it here."

"That's good to hear." She nodded. Katherine looked around a little, and spotted Elmer on Romeo's shoulders, having a chicken fight with Race and Spot. "I have to go stop a disaster." She walked off, a small smile on her face.

"Isn't that a pool game?" Davey turned to Jack.

"They don't care. Spot and Race are super competitive, they'll challenge anyone to anything." Jack shrugged. "They aren't even under the mistlefoe."

"Yeah, uh, has anyone ever gotten seriously hurt under the mistlefoe?" Davey asked.

"Nah." Jack shook his head. "Worst thing was two years ago when Race broke his arm. Kept him outta track for a bit, but he was able to play baseball in the spring."

"Oh. Good." Davey nodded, but he still wasn't entirely convinced.

"Jack!" Crutchie made his way over. "Sniper is lookin' for you."

"Yeah. I'll be back Dave. But eat something, have some fun." Jack grinned as he followed Crutchie over to where Sniper was standing, completely covered in garland.

Davey made his way over to the table that was covered in food, taking it all in. There were plates of cookies and bowls filled with candy. The two punch bowls were on either end of the table, and there was a jug of water in the middle. Two plates had chicken fingers on them, and there was another two plates that had mozzarella sticks. Davey grabbed a chicken finger then turned to face the party.
