Emily's POV

"hey, thanks for letting me stay here for the night. I usually don't do this", I say with my hands wrapped about the coffee mug that filled hot cocoa.

"Don't mention it. It's the best I could do after everything you've been going through", Kimberly says sitting next to me smiling.

After my argument with Alison I left her house and came here. I don't think I could handle sleeping under the same roof with her.

My feelings were literally all over the place. I didn't know how to feel. I mean everything this morning was perfect, until I got to work.

I needed to know if she was okay. Sure Alison didn't kill her but how'd I know she didn't servilely hurt her.

I don't know why I care but I just do. Even if she tried to rape me. I just feel Alison went to far.

Some of the things I said to Alison I should've have said but I'm glad I did. I'm so proud of myself for not holding my tongue back.

Usually I'd end the conversation after she told me no but I was sick and tired of Alison telling me what to do as if I'm her slave.

I take another sip of my cocoa.
"anyway what did the police say? Are they doing an investigation?", Kimberly asked me as if I would know.

So I lied.
"Yeah. They said there gonna try to do everything they could but it was going to be difficult because of the evidence that was left at the crime scene"

I don't know why I said it, I just did. I think I got it off of one of those crime shows, like Law & Order or something like that.

"I'm sure Talia is fine. She has to be right?", Kimberly says rubbing my back.

"Yeah", I respond.
Can we talk about anything else besides my terrible luck of woman who I decide to open my legs too.

Kimberly stands up almost scaring me, I look at her in confusion.

"Enough of this depressing shit. You know what I think you did? You need some tequila in side of your body to make you feel better", she says grabbing my arm pulling me up from the couch.

"I haven't had tequila in years", I tell her honestly.

"More then enough reason for you to get some tonight", she says smiling.

"I have nothing to wear. I mean I'm not exactly dressed to go out to a club", I say looking down at the sweat pants and hoodie Kimberly had lended me.

"I think I can help with that", she smiled before grabbing my hand. I quickly place my mug down as she pulls me to her bedroom.

We walk into her walk in closet, as she parts from me, and looks around.

She walked to a section of her closet pulling out a long black dress. I could tell from her it would barely cover my body.

"I knew had it in here somewhere. I only worn it once. It should fit you", she says walking back to me handing me the dress.

"Are you insane? I could never pull this off"

"Are you insane? Look at your body. You'll probably look better in it then me"

"I don't know about this", I say honestly.
"Come on. What could go wrong? You deserve this and I'm not taking no for an answer", she tells me so determined.

"Fine", I say giving in.
"Good. We leave in twenty", she tells me.

"Wow. Slow down girl!", Kimberly shouts over the loud music as she noticed I was taking my sixth shot of tequila.
