Emily's POV

Kimberly stared at me blankly after I explained everything to her. I needed someone to talk to. Someone to vent to. Somehow Kimberly was the only thing I had remotely close to a friend. To someone I could trust.

"so let me get this straight... you were cheating on Talia with Alison.. the woman you think your in love with. Then you found out Talia was cheating on you, but then Talia found out you were cheating on her, and she tried to rape you but Alison saved you, and the next day Talia went missing but she really wasn't missing, she's just being held captive by Alison?", she asked summarize what I had just told her.

I nod, trying to calm my nerves.

"How are you even okay with the fact that Talia is probably suffering— I cut her off, "I wasn't. I'm not. But when I went to go see her to make sure she was okay... she didn't even apologize for trying to to.... look, I don't know. Okay. Everything is just completely wrong in my life", I say before sighing.

"You can say that"

I ran my fingers through my hair, trying to think out my options. FYI there wasn't a lot.

"So what are you gonna do?", she asked.

"I- I don't know. I have no where else to go. I can't go home... it just feels empty there. I can't go to work because Alison will probably be there. I bet you right now she's having her men search for me... I can't even think straight"

"Why don't you go to the police. Can't they help you?", she asks me as if I didn't already think of that option.

"No. They can't. Anything involving the police will make all of this worst"

I saw her eyes jot to her phone, and I quickly sat up from the couch.
"Kimberly y-you do know you can't tell about this right?", I asked her.

She nodded, but I don't think she understand what might happen If she does.

"Kim, I mean it. Whatever I say stays between us. If this gets around and words get back to you, it will not end pretty", I tell her not wanting to say if she runs her mouth Alison will make her go "missing" just like she said Talia.

"I understand"

"Good", I say leaning back against the couch.
"I just have one question... why didn't you leave her?", she asked me.

"Who?", I asked.
Talia or Alison.

"The one who made you show up at my door step and ball your eyes or heart out", she says referring to Alison.

Then it hit. The question I forgot to ask myself. Why didn't I just leave her when I had the chance.

"I-I don't know. Maybe because I wanted whatever Alison and I had to last. To work. I wanted us to be something. I was so afraid if we don't work, it meant I gave up my entire relationship with Talia for nothing"
