I woke up expecting Alison's embrace, something, anything to let me know she came back home last night.
Even after I stayed up expecting her too, she didn't. Maybe it was punishment for me, that way I knew she was really pissed at me.
Of course, she'd be. I was confusing her and by me not giving her answer, it was only making things worst.
For the both of us.
After exiting out the bathroom, I placed my hair into a messy bun before grabbing my phone to text Alison. At least so I can know where exactly she heads at.Me: "............... hey, can we talk?"
No. It shouldn't be a question it should be more a statement to let her know I finally made up my mind and she would just have to deal with it.
So I deleted the text I was going to send and just decided to call her instead. That way there'd be no misunderstandings.
The phone dialed a couple of times before she finally picked up. A couple was too long knowing Alison doesn't hesitate to answer the phone especially when I'm the one whose calling her.
"Miss DiLaurentis phone, how can I help you Miss Fields?" A familiar voice asks me, but that voice was not Alison's.
One, is my contact in her phone my full name?
"I—... who is speaking?" I ask seriously.
"It's me, Sophie. Alison's assistant. I'm not sure you remember but it's been a while since we've met. How can I help you?" She asks once more.
Two, why was Sophie answering Alison's phone. We're they like best friends, why would she need someone to answer her personal cell phone?
"I would like to speak to Alison right now" my voice was calm, and collective.
I hear voices in back, "everything has to be perfect for tonight". "I already told you.... the tables need to be 6 feet apart!"
Most likely was Alison's.
"Miss DiLaurentis is currently busy at the moment, would you like to leave a message?" She trails off.
Emily Fields does not leave messages.
"J-just tell her I called, and that I'm sorry"
I was apologizing in advance for why I was going to act tonight. Shortly afterwards the conversation ends, allowing me to leave the room and go downstairs where I had completely forgotten Kimberly was waiting for me.
"Finally! What the hell were you doing in there?" She asks raising her voice.
"Sorry"
She stands up from the chair approaching me, causing my arch my brows at her. I watch as she places her finger on her lip, before walking circles around me as if she was observing me.
"What are you doing?" I finally ask her.
"You said you wanted a makeover. The first thing we need to do is find out what needs a makeover and what doesn't" she pauses before grabbing a length of my hair.
