My heart pounded to the vibration of the loud thumbing music, the neon lights, the way the music sounded slow and reverb but also bass booted. It felt as if I was high, but instead I was two shots away from being drunk.

WHAT!?!" I shout into Kimberly ear as the loud music was taking over her voice.

"THEY WANT TO BUY US DRINKS, DONT BE WERID!" Kimberly shouts before pointing over to two men who were sitting at the bar observing the club.

Ever since we arrived those guys were looking at us, giving both Kim and I the eye. "I DONT KNOW...." I trail off accidentally making eye contact with one of them.

I look away immediately turning back to Kimberly, "I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO HAVE A GOOD TIME, EM!" She shouts.

"I AM" I shout back.

If only that were true. I regretted even coming to this damn club, all drunk me did was think about how much I missed her.

This "getting over Alison" plan was not working for shit. Drunk me was two seconds away from calling her and crying about how much I missed you.

"GOD, HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO BE WITHOUT HER IF YOU CANT EVEN TRY. IF ALISON DID CARE ABOUT YOU WOULDNT EVEN BE IN THIS SITUATION RIGHT NOW" She shouts before walking away to the bar.

As much as I want to ignore the comment that angered me, it was true. If Alison did care about me she wouldn't have let me walk out the room. She would've showed any type of emotion after I told her I loved her.

I sigh rolling my eyes knowing I'd have to go follow her. I fixed my hair before walking off the dance floor approaching Kimberly and the two men.

I forced a smile trying to convince myself that I was okay with whatever Kimberly had planned. "There she is...." the voice of unknown man says bringing me out thoughts.

I swallowed hard, "here I am..." I trail off smiling.

"Your friend Kathrine was telling us all about you...." the man says.

Kathrine? I looked to Kimberly in confusion, and she winked. She was doing that thing again, she doesn't believe in giving her real name to guys she meet at the bar because it's easier for her to forget about them.

Don't ask me why she thinks like that. The man reaches out his hand for me to shake, "I'm Dean... and you are..." he trails off.

Quick, think of a name.

"Brittnay... her names Brittany" Kimberly says for me causing me to look at her. I smile softly shaking his head and the man looks at me from head to toe.

"You can call me Brit"

He uses his thumb to caress my palm, "I'll call you whatever you want me to call you, doll" he says flirting.

I don't know if it's the liquor speaking or the egg sandwich I had for lunch today but I felt disgusting by the man standing in front of me.

He finally lets go, allowing my hand to be free.

I ignore his comment, "this is my brother Shawn." He introduced me to his brother who was too busy talking to Kimberly to look at me.

I nod, taking the empty seat next to him. The bartender approaches the part of the bar where we had been sitting.

"What can I get you two lovely people tonight?" He asks. Dean looks at me, "Negroni" he tells the man.

"And for the pretty lady?"
I look at dean before turning to the man, "it's okay, I'm buying" Dean explains.
