Chapter 9: Callbacks, Then a Movie Date

Hayes' POV:

The boys and I walked over to Lacey's house so her mom could drive us to her callbacks. Cameron and Lauren were going on a date and Carter and Grace were going somewhere.

Callbacks were in a studio instead of an auditorium this time, so we wouldn't be able to watch. We drove up to the place and waited outside of the room as Lacey went in, leaving her bag on the bench along with a couple others.

I assumed that Gabbi was already in there since her bag was outside. Addison later showed up, we gave our hugs and stuff and waited. We ate a couple of snacks and sodas and we were playing games on our phones. 

-A Few Hours Later-

"WE GOT IT WE GOT IT WE GOT IT!" Lacey said as the door opened and she ran up to me. Addison and Gabbi did the same with Nash and Matt. They all got the camp oppurtunity. We were all so happy so we decided to go and eat lunch at Lacey's house. We ate chicken enchiladas, which Cam loved. We walked to my house and grabbed our swimming trunks. We then walked back to Lacey's house to swim. We played Marco Polo like on the camping trip. We swam until it got dark. Addison and Gabbi went to eat dinner with Nash and Matt. Cam and Carter eventually came back, but they were at the hotel. It was just me and Lacey. 

Lacey's POV:

We decided to go to his house for our little movie date. Hayes put in Paranormal activity as I made popcorn. I honestly don't know what I did back at Olive Garden. I hate scary movies, why did I pick this. We sat on the floor to watch, I really liked sitting on the floor. It reminded me of when I was little and made tents with pillows and blankets. We set all of the pillows on the floor and we took some blankets for extra padding. So basically, we were laying on a crappy mattress watching a scary movie. 

The movie started as Hayes and I started eating popcorn. There were some majorly scary parts where I grabbed on to Hayes. I felt safe next to him. I caught him smirk as I screamed and sat even closer to him. I ended up laying on his lap, I don't know how. I closed my eyes as I heard screams from the TV. 

Three-quarters into the movie, I fell asleep in Hayes' lap.

I woke up in a strange, but familiar place. It was that feeling when you wake up and don't know where you are, but then memory starts to come back. I rubbed my eyes, and got up into a sitting position. I was in a room. I don't know who's room, all I remember was falling asleep on Hayes' lap while watching Paranormal Activity. This was probably Hayes' room.

I got up and walked around. There were pictures of Hayes, his family, and his friends. There was one that specifically caught my eye. He was in the hospital sitting in a chair. He looked sad, I wonder why. I wonder why he would frame it and put it in his room. I got distracted as the door creaked. 

"You're up early" Nash said, rubbing his eyes.

"Well, I probably slept early" I said

"Yeah you did, Hayes said it was like 8." He said in a tired voice, he probably just woke up.

"Where is Hayes?" I curiously asked.

"He slept on the couch so you could sleep on the bed." 

"Awe, I'm going to go wake him up" I said

"That's a bad idea, Hayes doesn't like to be waken up" Nash warned me as I didn't listen and wobbled to the couch where Hayes was sleeping.

"HAYES GRIER WAKE UP" I screamed from behind the couch as he fell off of the couch. I laughed histerically. I walked over and crouched down to the floor where he was rubbing his eyes.

"What time is it?" He asked

"I don't know its probably like 7" 

"7?!?! WHO WAKES UP AT 7?!" He asked as I laughed and helped him up.

I gave him a nice hug and ran my fingers through his hair.

"Thank you for letting me sleep in your bed instead of the floor." I said 

"No problem" He smiled now fully woken up.

"So what exactly happened last night?" I asked somewhat confused.

"After the movie finished I took you upstairs and into my room to sleep, and then Nash came home and I ate his left overs, oh and then I called your mom, she said it was okay for you to stay over, you should probably call her now," He said as I grabbed my phone out and dialled my mom's number.

-Phone Call-

"Hey mom, it's Lace" 

"Hello Lacey, how was your night?"

"Good, how about yours?"

"Fine, thank you." 

"Come home before lunch, Hayes can come too if you want, I've got a surprise"

"Oh. umm okay bye mom love you" 

"Love you"

I pressed the End button and then I checked Twitter. It was pretty much inactive. So I went into the kitchen where a sleepy Nash was with Skylynn.

"HAI LACEY" She said in her cute little voice.

"Hi Skylynn!" I said picking her up and spinning her around. I put her down as Nash gave her a plate of small pancakes. 

"Nash. You cook? Oh my Addison is one lucky gal." I laughed as his hand went behind is head.

"Actually, my mom made these before she went to the store, I just microwaved them" He said embarrasingly as I laughed again.

"It's okay, I won't tell your secret." I said winking as Hayes walked in.

"Hey babe." He said.

"Hey, look your brother made pancakes" I said pointing to Skylynns plate.

"NASH!??! Make pancakes, SKYLYNN MOVE AWAY" He said taking Skylynns plate away as she started to frown.

"OKAY FINE MOM MADE THEM" He said as Hayes gave the plate back to Skylynn, who continued to eat them. 

"My mom said she has a surprise for me at home, so we can go over there for lunch" I said

"Doesn't that sound fun Skylynn? You can go play with Lucy!" I said as Skylynn smiled jumping up and down.

"YAY Lucy!" She said with a mouth full of pancakes.

We laughed as Nash handed me a plate with pancakes slightly bigger than Skylynn's.

"Thank you very much, kind gentleman." I said as Nash smiled. He then gave Hayes a plate and took a plate himself.

"Wow. You boys can eat fast." I said on the second half of my first pancake while they were on their second.

"We just have bigger mouths than you" Nash said with a mouth full of pancake I could barely understand him.

"The boys finished and carried on with their lives as Skylynn and I chatted.

"Hey Skylynn"

"Hayes really likes you" She said, I laughed at her comment.

"He said that he's liked you since he visited you in the hospital" She said as my laughing went down and I was confused.

"Hospital?" I said.

"Yeah" She said as she finished. I put our plates away and she went to her room.

I just figured that she had made something up, did she?

YAY FINALLY WE AT CHAPTER 10 WITH 1K READS. Like seriously this is amazing. Hayes is so sweeeet <3. Sorry for not updating by the way, I've been really busy since school just started on the 18th.
