Chapter 7: Camping
____________________
Lacey's POV:
We just go home from Nationals yesterday. My dance teacher said I could have two says off this week and I got to chose which days, so I chose Thursday and Friday. We were going camping with the gang because everyone had come back to North Carolina for a couple of days. I packed probably a weeks worth of clothes for two days, I do that all the time. I alps pecked toiletries, camping items, some bikinis, and whatever else you need for camping. Since auditions were coming up, we weren't going to do anything that would damage our legs, arms, or anything really. We had to be cautious, the girls and I.
Cam drove to everyone's houses and picked us up in the van we rented. We showed up to a campsite and the boys set up the tents while the girls made sleeping arrangements, we had 2 big tents, so we divided by girls and boys.
We all decided to go for a swim in the nearby lake, so we all were getting our bathing suits to change into.
It was really funny how we all were wearing bandeau tops with black bikini bottoms. Mine had a really cute tribal print, Gabbi's had flowers on them, Addy's was a twisted bandeau that was white and pink, Lauren's was a light blue bow shaped one, and Grace's had black and white stripes with pastel pink colored polka dots.
The boys were all waiting for us to come out of the tents. We walked out and there they were, standing, abs and all. The funny thing was they were checking us out, my oh my, we were a hot bunch of kids. We all laughed and went out to a nearby foresty area that had a waterfall. It was beautiful, we were on top of a cliff type thing. We weren't sure if it was safe, so Cameron being the oldest went down to check the rocks out, the water was probably about 8-10 feet, so it was divable water. Everyone jumped off the cliff and did flips, poses, etc.
"Hey Lacey, come here!" Hayes said pulling me over
"What?" I said running as he pulled me through the forest to stand in front of a tree.
"Okay. A tree. What is so important about this tree that you had to drag me over here?" I asked as he pointlessly started to climb up.
"Come climb" he said
"But I can't injure myself, auditions are tomorrow" I said as he
"Stop worrying, you won't get hurt, I won't let you." He said as he grabbed my hand and practically pulled me up, and we eventually made it to the top, the tree wasn't THAT tall. It was beautiful, we sat up there as if we were in a house. I finally understood, Hayes had taken me to a tree house, but how did he know it was there?
"I used to come here with my family, my dad and I found a secret tree house, not even Nash knows about it." He said smiling at me
"This is beautiful" I said admiring the view. He scooted over towards me and I laid on his lap and he looked down at me.
"You're beautiful" He flirted as I my cheeks turned a shade redder.
"Sure I am" I said smiling as he looked down at me. I stared at those blue orbs, I'm falling for Hayes Grier."You really are Lace, I'm not joking" He said, me getting redder and redder every second.
"No I'm not. Stop calling me beautiful it's not true." I stubbornly said.
"Why can't you see it? Well, you're beautiful in my eyes" He sweetly said staring at me.
He leaned in closer.
And closer...
And closer to the point that our noses where touching.
We kissed. It was a sweet, long kiss, not like the ones I've had before. This was real, I could literally feel the sparks flying in this tree house. Our first kiss, in a tree house, on a camping trip. We finally released and decided to walk back to the lake, where everyone else was swimming.
