Chapter 21: Diner Troubles

Georgina's POV:

I walked into the cafeteria, luckily before Lacey and her little crew of misfits. Hayes wasn't there either, how could he like a girl like her. I mean, she's ugly and her sense of style is gross. She's not even that good of a cheerleader, let alone dancer.

The girls and I walked over to our lunch table. As I sat down, Lacey walked in, alone, which was weird, but not surprising.

"Hey, bestie!" I said, faking a smile and wrapping my arm around her. It was difficult enough to smile, but let alone touch her cheap clothing.

"What?" She said, confused.

"Come, sit with us at our table." I smiled, leading her over to the table as the girls began to wave in sync.

"Great!" She said, happily. She is so stupid.

Lacey's POV:

I knew what she was doing. Inviting me to her table, her birthday party, dress shopping. Apparently it would be the party of the year. I decided I wouldn't sink to her level, and I wouldn't do any damage to her, but I wasn't going to be ignorant.

I grabbed my lunch tray and sat down. I looked around, Hayes was no where to be found.

"What's wrong?" Georgina said, fake as ever, I smiled and continued to eat my food.

"Nothing." I said, after taking a sip of my juice.

"So, where's your man candy?" Georgina said. I shrugged, where was Hayes? The last time I had seen him was in class a few hours ago.

"I don't know actually." I said, looking around. I took a bite of my lunch.

We walked into the dress shop. It was big, and bells rang everytime the door opened. There was a large area for the dressing rooms, and a mirror. We chose out stacks of dresses that eventually filled up the dressing rooms, luckily for us, no one else was coming to the store anytime soon, Georgina had flipped the OPEN sign so now it said CLOSED it large white letters.

"I think I'll get this one." Georgina said. I nodded, smiling, I saw her turn around and stick her tongue out. Her dress was a bit on the short side. Okay it was a lot on the short side. It was sparkly and skimpy, but if she liked it, I wasn't going to get in the way of that. It was red, strapless, and lace on the top. The bottom was just a plain red, but the top showed a lot of cleavage and was absolutely see through, so it really depended on her if she wanted the world to see her boobs or not. The skirt of the dress was short, it was about 8 or 9 inches above the knee and was tighter than the mini drum Lucy got for Christmas.

"I call this one." I said, looking in the large mirror outside of the dressing rooms. The dress had a sweetheart neckline had a thin dark pink belt with a small bow on it near my belly button. The top had pretty lace-like designs in a faded dark pink, which complemented the lighter pink under it. The bottom was a pinker pink and ruffled, it went a good three inches above my knee.

"OMG IT'S SO CUTE!" Whitney said, as Amber agreed, she eventually went back to her blog, I'm surprised she even looked up. I smiled, seeing Georgina quietly scream to herself since they didn't say anything about her dress.

"Thanks guys." I smiled as I went back into the room to change. We payed, and walked over to Dina's Diner nextdoor, it was sort of the school hang out. We walked through the doors as everyone turned around, I was with Georgina after all. I looked around the room to see all eyes on us, especially me though. I awkwardly walked behind Georgina and sat at the edge of the booth, next to her.

"What are we getting Georgina?" Whitney said, as if Georgina was her mother.

"Salads, duh." Georgina said putting her menu down. I guess I wasn't used to not making my own descisions, I was in the mood for some curly fries though, but sticking with Georgina's order would probably be the safest thing for me.

I suddenly felt two familiar arms wrap around me. I looked up to see a smiling Hayes. I looked back down as he kissed my head.

"Hey babe. Didn't see you at lunch, you okay?" I asked as he unwrapped his arms.

"Yeah, we had a lunch practice. Can I talk to you for a sec, over here?" He said as I nodded, and we went outside.

"Why are you sitting with them?" He asked, concerned, a bit angry.

"Well, I heard Georgina say the thing about keep friends close and enemies closer, so I'm just playing along and pretending that I didn't hear anything, but if she makes me do anything bad, I won't fall for it. I'm fine I promise." I said as he began to nod.

"Fine. But if you need anything, you know you can call me anytime." He said, protectively. He gave me a big hug and I saw our food come from the corner of my eye. I could also see Georgina, Amber, and Whitney laughing as Georgina poured something over a plate of salad. We walked inside and parted our ways.

"Food came while you were gone." She smiled, I smiled back and pushed the plate away.

"Oh, I'm not really hungry anymore, here you have it." I said, as I poured my salad onto hers as if I knew nothingw was going on.

"Oh, um, I'm not so hungry either." She said, pushing her plate towards Amber, who sat in front of her.

"Don't waste all of this food, here Amber, you have it." I said as she immeadiately pushed it away. I acted confused.

"Oh, I already ate, silly me, I must have forgotten, here you have it Whitney." SHe said pouring all of our salads onto Whitney's plate, most of it overflowing off the plate.

"I'm not hun-"

"EAT IT." Georgina scolded as Whitney nodded and hesitantly began to eat the salad. After finishing her salad, her stomach began to rumble, and she ran straight towards the bathroom.

"Luckily I wasn't very hungry," I said, holding Whitney's hair as she puked into the toilet. Amber offered to help and I left my post. I could hear Georgina's cries of frustration from the outside. I walked over to Hayes' table and began to eat some of his curly fries.

"What happened to her?" He said as I shrugged.
