Chapter 13: Clapping Revealed.

Lacey's POV

I turned around as the clapping stopped.

"I've never seen anything like it" A deep voice said. I squinted into the darkness as a shadow of a person came out. The figure soon got clearer and I saw a familiar face.

"Oh, hi." I sniffled, wiping the tears off my face. I sat at the edge of the stage as Hayes jumped on with me.

"What's wrong?" He said wiping the tears on my face.

"Why did you ask me out?" I asked "You have millions of girls fawning over you, why me?

He sighed.

"Because you're beautiful and perfect." He said as I smiled feeling my cheeks turn red.

"No, really" He said putting his hand under my chin and turning my face towards his. Ours noses touched, we leaned in closer and kissed. All the hate, the comments, lifted off my mind like they all disappeared. We made eye contact and smiled at each other.

"Thank you" I said.

"Let me walk you home, it's getting late." he said.

"Kay" I said walking out with him.

"So how'd you find me?" I asked as we walked his arm over my shoulder.

"I go here sometimes to get stuff off my mind"

"Me too" I smiled. I wish this moment lasted forever. I'd walk for the rest of my life with Hayes by my side.

We soon got to my house. He unwrapped his arm around me as he knocked on the door.

"I'll see you tomorrow" He said smiling

"Kay, bye" I smiled, I was happy for once. Maybe going to school won't be such a bad idea.

I changed, brushed my teeth, did my nightly routine, and jumped on my bed. I smiled wondering how I got all of this, how I deserved all of this, because I for sure didn't. He wasn't Hayes Grier, brother of Vine-famous star Nash Grier, to me, he was just Hayes, my boyfriend. With that thought, I drifted off into a deep sleep.

I woke up to Lucy jumping on me.

"LACEY WAKE UP LACEEEEEY" she screamed jumping on my bed.

"Okay, okay, I'm awake, what do you want" I said rubbing my eyes, then stretching.

"WE ARE GOING SHOPPING" she screamed excitedly.

"But I have enough clothes, why do I need more?" I tiredly asked.

"ITS FOR SCHOOOOOOOOL" She said

"Oh yeah, real school." I thought to myself. I got up and started to tickle Lucy as she fell on the bed and started laughing hysterically.

"Go get ready Lucy" I said getting up to get ready as Lucy ran out the door.

An hour later we ate breakfast and headed out. My mom gave Lauren and me each 50$ for our clothes, 20$ for food, and 30$ for Lucy's clothes.

We went in Lauren's car since she was driving us and headed for the mall.

So, we drove to the mall and went into Macy's first to shop for Lucy since it'd be easier to carry her bags across the mall than ours.

After like an hour of shopping for Lucy, we all headed to Forever 21. We literally spent like 2 hours there and came out with three forever 21 bags me and Lauren each. We then went to Aero, and then Abercrombie & Fitch. There, I saw a group of girls talking as they looked at me with a disgusted attitude. I didn't recognize them, but they sure recognized me because one said

"OMG YOURE THAT GIRL WHO WAS WITH HAYES" The short brunette said.

"You're right, she IS ugly" Another girl whispered as they left lauging.

I decided to stay strong even though tears were fighting to come out. I continued shopping and we finally went home.

I jumped on my bed, thinking about what they said. Am I really that ugly? Are they just jealous? I wasn't sure, but to be honest, I'm never sure. Why did I say yes to Hayes when he asked me out? I knew he was getting more famous and more loved. I knew what was in store for me, but I guess I was just stuck in the moment. Well, now I'm unstuck and I have no idea what I should do.

K I'm really sorry this chapter took so long to publish and it really sucked but I have tons of Hw And remember I started this in the summer and I had a lot of time on my hands because no school so I apologize and hope you still read my story after this
