Chapter 5: 47 Pirouettes

Lacey's POV:

I woke up the next morning reflecting on my wonderful night. It was amazing. I mean, it's not everyday that you have an awesome first date with a vine famous guy you met a day before. Not to sound like I'm dating him for the fame or anything. Hayes is a sweetheart and a real flirt if you ask me. I love him to bits and pieces, and luckily for me no one has found out yet, or other wise I would be in deep doo doo on Twitter.

"GIRLS GET UP AND GET READY FOR DANCE" My mom yelled as she did for the past 13 years of my life that I have had dance.

(Authors Note: Sorry if I get a bunch of terminology wrong bc I don't actually dance so... yeah, but I do know enough to know what is impressive and what's not... ish)

I put on my highwaisted, black dance shorts and my black and white, zigzaged camisole top. A small bit of my stomach/ rib cage was showing which basically made me look like Ariana Grande with shorts.

I put on my makeup and put my hair in an easy bun with a braid over it. I put my shoes and stuff in my dance bag and headed downstairs for breakfast.

"Hey mom" I said watching my mom make boiled eggs.

"Hey Lace you want one?" She offered

"Oh no thanks, I'll just have an apple today" I said grabbing an apple and tossing it into the air a few times before biting it.

Lauren's highschool is literally walking distance from my dance place so Lauren usually is the one to take me to dance and pick me up after her cheer, sometimes, during a long cheer practice I walk over there and watch her, and during short ones or long dance practices, she does the same for me. We fight a lot, but she's a really cool big sister.

"LAUREN HURRY UP" I yelled at the stairs. She came running down and we left.

My dance teacher, Mrs. Todd, was waiting at the door as I walked in.

"Hi Lacey, how are you doing?" She said.

"Fine, thank you Mrs. Todd" I said walking into the studio

As I was waiting for everyone else to arrive, I went over to the corner Gabbi and Addison were at.

"Hey guys" I said

"Lace! How was your date???" Gabbi asked eager to know.

"It was.. amazing" I said taking a small breath

"Well, while you guys were on your dates, I got my 32nd pirouette!" Gabbi said getting up to show us

"YAY GABBI!" I said knowing that she'd been working on that for a while now.

"Whatever Lace, you got 32 a long time ago what are you on now? 40?" Gabbi said looking at me in a sassy way

"Well, 46 isn't THAT high-ish." I said shrugging my shoulders

"Ummm.. Yeah it kind of is, especially when you're I don't know, FOURTEEN YEARS OLD, It only took you a couple of weeks to do your double and it took me like a month or two to perfect it." Addison said, while Gabbi shook her head behind her.

"Whatever, I really want to get to 47, ya know because 7 is my lucky number. Just do the stinkin pirouettes" I said watching Gabbi turn as I counted.

"HOLY CRAP YOU DID DO IT... can I try??" I said excited but eager to turn because I haven't danced for like 3 days.

"Ready? One, two, three" Addison said as I started turning. I tried to count in my head but I decided to just close my eyes and concentrate. I finally stopped and cleanly landed.

"Why is everyone over here?" I said confused

"LACE DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PIROUETTES YOU JUST DID!?!?!!????!!" Gabbi screamed

"No, how many?" I said

"49..." Addison said as a smile spread on my face

"Are you lying? Don't lie to me Gabs" I said walking up to Gabbi

"NO NO NO NO NO I AM NOT" Gabbi said.

"What is all the huss up about girls?" Mrs. Todd said walking in.

"Lacey did 49 pirouettes!" A tall darkhaired skinny girl named Lauren said.

"Lacey, is this true?" Mrs. Todd asked me

"Umm, yeah I guess so." I said

"That's so great Lacey! You beat the record for this Dance Company!" She said excitedly

"Really!?!? OMG" I said jumping up and down.

The rest of the day was just normal practice, we started by warming up of course by doing some acro with the mats. We then did a little bit of ballet in Room B, and carried on to some tap in Room H. We literally do that everyday, for warmup. After a giant warmup session, we learned our routines because Nationals was coming up this weekend actually. Starbound, in Dallas, TX.

We were on our lunch break so I decided to text Hayes and ask if he could come. Addison did the same for Nash.

Hayes 😍😎: Hmm.. Let me check first.

Me: Kay

Hayes 😍😎: What days in November?

Me: Umm.. November 16th-17th, but most of my dances are on the 17th. Can you go!??!??

Hayes 😍😎: Well fortunately for you, I have Magcon with Nash on the 15th and 16th so I can come on the 17th if that's okay

Me: YES THAT"S AWESOME thanks babe.

Me: I gotta go sorry bye

Tbh this is a filler chapter that has to do with the next chapter ish. So, yeah. I've already started it while I was editing this. Please don't hate bc i've been really busy im so sorry :(. I hope you like this chapter at lease. I usually write at night and bc of school my parentals are making me sleep early (but I still sleep at like 3 oops).
