Friday night
11:09 P.M.Jungkook and Ariana had hung out every day that week since there meeting at the coffee shop but when she told him she had to go out of town for the weekend he immediately asked if it was for Spider-Man. Technically it was, but it was actually for her. Her mom would also be gone that same weekend on a business trip so it was all aligning for her.
"You're helping Spider-Man aren't you?"
Jungkook was currently at Ariana's apartment watching her park her things to leave. Miles was currently on his way, driving this time, and Jungkook had been over since they got home from school helping her put the final touches on her photography project. Throughout the week they were working on it together and had taken some beautiful photos, the one on the very last page in the scrapbook being of Ariana facing the sunset on the Brooklyn bridge.
"It has something to do with that. It's kinda different though, can't say too much." She played it off well.
"I get it, it's probably confidential stuff. Will you be back soon?"
"By Sunday afternoon. I'll come by your place when I get back."
"Where are you even going?" He helped her zip up her weekender bag that had flowers all over it. It was a gift she'd received from Hoseok on her birthday after he saw her looking at it in a store window.
"Out of state, going to Boston."
"What could possibly be in Boston?"
In Boston was where Miles' friend Hera was. Hera was the one that designed the suits, made the technology, crafted the weapons, and anything else you could possibly need. Her mother was a wealthy businesswoman that created her own fashion line and had departments practically all over the world and Hera had her own lab hidden away in the building. Her mother's business skyrocketed and soon they had a corporation set up right in Boston. She had just graduated high school and colleges were begging her to attend their school, she was smarter than anyone Ariana had ever met. She would pursue a degree in science, the type was unknown for right now, which was why she was able to create everything for Miles and other superheroes that needed her. It was kinda funny to see the major difference between her and her mother. But both were incredibly powerful and successful.
"There's a lot in Boston. Shouldn't you be getting home kookie?" She was trying to hurry up and get Jungkook home before Miles came up even though she was gonna miss him.
He looked at the time. "Yeah its probably a good idea. I'll see you when you get back Ari."
He hugged her and right before he left Ariana could've sworn he kissed her temple but maybe it was his hair brushing against her face. If left her dazed for a second, snapping out of it when the front door closed. When she got the text from Miles saying that he was outside her she left her apartment with her heart racing. Miles had a pretty nice car, one that seemed stupidly expensive but actually wasn't; he worked hard for everything he owned including his parents. Her things found its way to the backseat next to his and they were off on the three hour trip to Boston at nearly midnight.
"Why did we have to leave so late?" Ariana yawned. She snuggled into her hoodie, the one she was wearing at Namjoon's apartment, and rested her head against the window. It was chilly but not chilly enough you'd freeze without a jacket, comfortable weather. His fingers were tapping on the wheel to the song on the radio which was something he always did when he was driving.
"Because we couldn't leave when we got out of school since I had to go out and Hera is expecting us by morning. She doesn't like tardiness."
"Does she not sleep?"
