fighting for my trust, yeah you won't back down
even if we got to risk it all right now, oh."I know what you're hiding."
He looked around him again to see if there was any other people still lingering. Luckily the people that were there earlier were gone. It was just them in the vacant hallway against a set of lockers.
"I know what's going on. I know what you've been hiding this whole time."
She laughed it off. "What I've been hiding?"
He crossed his arms. He was serious. "I still don't know why you run off all the time, that's not important anymore. What's important is what information I've been putting together for about two weeks now."
He reached for her arm and turned it over so you could see her veins. When you held it against the light just right, you could see the green tint. It was almost faded now, the effect was only temporary. Ariana was glad she wouldn't be stuck with permanently green veins. Her doctor wouldn't know what to think.
"You're the Sunflower."
Ariana didn't know how he managed to figure her out. It was Namjoon though, he could figure out anything he wanted. He somehow was able to connect all the dots together into one big piece until it all made sense.
It started with her sudden change in appearance overnight. How she appeared to be glowing when she walked into school the day after she got bit.
Then one day in Chemistry she pulled her sleeve up to pick up something, he noticed her veins. The same color as Sunflower's webs. It was barely noticeable at that point but the light managed to hit it just right.
The day her and Miles first swung through Manhattan. He had went to her place to see if she wanted to go to Central Park with him and his neighbor Yoongi and saw her slip inside her room in her suit.
He didn't need any other information after that point.
To think that a simple peppermint was the thing that confirmed it all. With Namjoon being as smart as he was it made sense for him to be the first one to figure everything out. He was so stupidly smart and intelligent it got on her nerves sometimes.
"You think me of all people is the Sunflower? You're not making any sense."
"I make a lot of sense actually. I've put the pieces together Ari, stop trying to deny it."
Ariana was telling herself he was just bluffing. There was no way. There's no way. "I don't believe you. You don't know anything."
"Let's talk after school. I can prove it to you."
Their teacher called out to them to get to class before they got marked tardy. She backed up and turned her back to him incase he tried to tell her anything else but she did look over her shoulder for a second.
"I'm hanging out with Peter at the park today. If you'd like, you can join us. Afterwards we'll talk."
Ariana left before she got in trouble. Namjoon eventually left too. The hallways were now silent with the lack of students in them since everyone was back in class.
She knew someone would figure it out but not this quickly. Out of everyone it had to be Namjoon, one of her closest friends. She'd only been Sunflower for about a month now and someone had already figured her out. This entire time she thought she was being careful not to reveal herself to anyone but apparently she failed. There was a chance this was just a joke that Hoseok had made him do but Namjoon wasn't really the one to let it go that far.
