Three weeks later
Rainy Day Cafe

The Rainy Day Cafe was the coffee shop Jungkook worked at that was the cutest thing on that side of Manhattan. Despite it being rather small it had an amazing atmosphere with such a sweet staff. Every Friday they gave out free doughnuts which was a hit with people on their way to work or school. The last time Ariana was there was when she told Jungkook the truth about everything, almost everything. A few weeks have went by and she was getting the hang of this new lifestyle. After the incident at the bank she was out more trying to do her job right. Sometimes she'd meet up with Miles in Brooklyn and they'd do some stuff together which all the news channels were loving. She hasn't been in her suit since four days ago when there was something going on downtown that no one knew what the reason behind it was.

It was raining again, for the third time that week, and Ariana was drinking a coffee when Jungkook sat down in front of her. They were at the same table they were at last time.

"So what brings you here?" He handed her a freshly baked brownie.

"We need to talk Jungkook."

Her fingers tapped on the glass table and she could see Jungkook stiffen up. "I have a feeling I know what you need to talk to me about."

"You do. Jungkook about what happened at your place.."

For weeks she avoided talking to him about how they almost kissed because she didn't want to make things awkward. The atmosphere around them had been different since so it was time to clear the air. This is something you can't avoid forever.

"I know Ari." He sighed, moving his hair back. He had recently dyed it black again. "Listen I'm sorry if I crossed the line-"

"You didn't cross the line."

"Then what's wrong?"

The rain outside seemed to pick up which caused a few people to rush inside to get away from it. Some held briefcases above their heads, umbrellas, anything to keep the rain off their face. A dog playing in a puddle was the only thing that seemed to be enjoying the weather.

"Jungkook you know we can't.. it can't.."

"We can't happen." He completed it for her.

"Yes. We can't happen Jungkook, I'm sorry, it's not that I don't want it to it's just.."

When she said that he perked up a little bit. He had no idea that she saw him in that way, for a second he was convinced he misheard.

"We can't happen because of my life right now." She continued on but with heartbreak in her voice. "You're better off. Trust me, you are."

"How am I better off? What makes you think that?"

"You wouldn't understand. I don't want you getting hurt. That's the last thing I could ever want."

He could never know.

"How would I get hurt? Ari you're not making any sense."
