Sunday afternoon

The weekend went by faster than Ariana expected it too but she was ready to go back home. Hera had been hard at work since they got there on Friday night and had been only working on the suit for hours on end. It was almost ready, she just needed to perfect the mask a little bit more. Ariana picked up the web slingers that were also yellow and black, noticing that there a tiny sunflower was on each of them. They fit perfect on her wrists which Hera was relieved about.

"I had to remodel those at least three times. Why don't you and Miles go to the workout room and try it out? Consider it target practice."

Miles was giddy about being in the workout room while Ariana was more reluctant than anything. She wasn't sure about what she could do yet, scared she'd break something if she went too far. Miles was going to be her coach until she could get the swing of things, no pun intended, to make her feel less alone out there.

"I'll tell you anything you want to know. We'll practice your swinging once your suit is done and for now you'll just learn the basics. How to relax, control your powers, and how to use it on command. It's a lot to deal with but I'll be there to make sure it's easier for you. I've got your back."

For two hours they practiced. The first hour was pretty rough since she didn't know what she was doing but that was the reason why they were there. Miles did some demonstrations for her to follow which she got the hang of pretty easily. After awhile her reflexes were sharp, on point, and rarely delayed. They even decided to be risky and "fight" on the ceiling much to Hera's dismay. The wall crawling freaked her out a bit, learning how to relax in order to let go of things was a hard to get the hang of. She didn't like crawling on walls as much since she always had the fear she'd just drop at any second. She'd be ready in no time with another weeks worth of practice and soon she'd be ready to show herself.

Eventually Ariana collapsed on the floor. She laid there panting and out of breath with her lungs burning with every breath. Miles was chugging a bottle of water, sitting on the wall as well, when Hera walked in.

"Looks like you two put the work in. Miles, can you please get off my wall? Just thought I'd come in to say your suit will be ready in about an hour. Think you're gonna like it."

"Thank you so much." Ariana hugged her. "You've worked yourself so hard please rest soon."

"I do this all the time girl! This wasn't nothing like the things I've done in the past. I do appreciate your concern, see you in a bit."

Hera walked out of the workout room but not after making sure Miles had gotten off the wall. Ariana was wiping her face on her tank top right when Miles threw something at her to test her spider-sense. Even though a water bottle was far from being something dangerous he was just using it as a prop.

Ariana turned around immediately. What happened next was astounding, the water bottle Miles was just drinking stopped mid air and was thrown back at him twice as fast. He caught it and stumbled back a bit. The air in the room got heavy when both of them realized what just happened.

"Wait, did you just do that?"

Ariana started to panic. "What the hell was that?"

"What's going on in here?" Hera came rushing back in.

"Ariana just stopped this bottle mid air and it flew back at me! I swear!"

"Let me see it." Hera stood back a bit incase it got out of hand.

Miles threw the bottle again, Ariana focused on it, and it stopped mid air like it did seconds ago. It flew straight back to Miles.

"Put it on the floor. Ariana do it one more time."
