chapter 24 ,,Regret"

[Yoongi's pov]
It was still Taehyung's birthday as we decided to visit him and the others.
I didn't go to the party because of HaEun but ended up finding my sister...
Well that's pretty weird...
Calling her my sister...
Never mind we arrived at the girls dorm because the surprise party took place there.
Y/N and I went inside, we were welcomed by Jungkook and Rin.
Y/N took Jungkook's hand and looked at him with loving eyes...
If HaEun could look at me in that way
I thought as Rin pulled me to the others.
They greeted me as I gave Tae my best wishes.
This brat.
Did I mention that I like HaEun and he should leave her alone...
I looked at HaEun but she kept avoiding my eyes.
I walked to her since Tae was busy talking to Jin and Areum so I had my chance.
As I walked closed to her I saw her blushing, so I had to chuckle a bit.
,, Hey "
,,Hello" she replied.
,,How are you?" I asked her a bit worried but tried to be cool.
,, Good... I'm just fine.. you?" She responded with a hurt gaze.
,,Well... I'm fine too. I found my sister.. more specifically my sisters." I laughed out as her eyes started to sparkle in happiness...
,,That's amazing Yoongi. I'm happy for you" she told me as she gave me her sweet smile.
That sparkle in her eyes...
I saw that... but when...

[Flash back]

I went to the mall to get some presents for the boys.
When I was about to leave, I noticed four familiar figures at the exit.
I went closer and saw Taehyung pecking her cheeks.
,,she likes him?" I thought as my heart broke at the sudden smile that he gave me.
No... it was more like a smirk.
She turned around and things got worse.
They held hands...
she had that sparkle in her eyes but as soon as she recognized me it disappeared.
Her smile, her sparkling hazel eyes, her pink cheeks... They turned into a painful fake smile, disappointed eyes and she was pale.. really pale.
She didn't regret being with him...
But she regret that I saw her with him, even though we are "just friends". I could read her regretful gaze..
I turned around because I heard my heart break once again and just left them behind.

[End of the flashback]

Y/N's pov
I told Jungkook everything and he seemed very happy for me but then he realized something..
,,should I ask him if its okay to date you?" He asked me a bit shy and I had to laugh..
I pecked his lips and tried to tease him.
,,Well yes... but he will say no anyways" with that I turned around, smiled and left him dumbfounded in the kitchen.
I went into the living room to talk with the other as he followed me.
,,What do you mean?" He yelled after me.
I giggled and kept walking.
I saw Yoongi and HaEun talking and had to check if everything is going smooth between them.
She doesn't want to admit it.. but she liked both. Well she's confused.
He was somehow a bit spaced out.
I walked to him and brought him back to reality.

He didn't talk to anybody the rest of the evening.
Jungkook and Yoongi stayed ober night but the others headed home.
Yoongi slept on the couch.
Me and Jungkook in the guest room because it would be weird with Jiwoo in the room.
(they didn't do anything except cuddling lol)

[Next day]
Today is the last day of the year and we have a normal practice day.
Today we have to go to the studio and train our voices.
Namjoon, Yoongi, HaRin and I are about to write a song.
So we wrote the song while the other girls practiced a bit.
The day went by very fast.
In the evening we decided to celebrate a bit.
Because it's the last day of the year and we like each others companie.
The new years party takes place at the boys dorm so we headed home to get ready.
Everybody looked stunning.
We arrived at bangtans home and went inside.
The boys greeted and welcomed us.
Taehyung couldn't take his eyes of HaEun but she kept searching for someone else...
Yoongi...
I told Jungkook that I was going to search him,  so I went upstairs into his room to see him sitting on his bed.
,,Yoongs what's wrong?"
,,Yoongs? You didn't call me that in ages" he chuckled as I nodded in response.
,,Well we haven't seen us in ages bro" I exclaimed as i sat next to him.
,, I need to let her go right?" My heart broke at his sentence. I looked at him with sad eyes.
,,No. You don't have to. She's searching you. Tae looks at her but she doesn't want his attention. She keeps scanning the room to find you."
I explained and took his hand.
,,Let's go" We stood up and went downstairs still holding hands.
He's my brother and I need to show him my love.
As we arrived Jungkook smiled at me and Yoongi. Seeing me with my brother made him proud?
His Hyung would never do anything to hurt me, of course not he's my brother.
We should tell them what we found out

[HaEun's pov]
I looked at Yoongi and Y/N coming down the stairs. I was angry... she's with Jungkook,  why is she holding his Hand?
,,We need to tell you something" Y/N started as I became nervous...
,,Are they.. no omg..."  Taehyung somehow noticed how nervous I was and tried to calm me and took my hand.
,,We found out that Yoongi and I are related.." Y/N paused as Yoongi smiled at her and continued.
,,She's my sister"
Everyone stood there shocked as I let out a sigh.
,,thank God" I whispered as I looked at Tae who looked at me a bit confused. I just smiled and let go of his hand.
Jin and Areum did what they always do.
Prepare food and yell when it's done.
After the dinner we watched movies and went outside for fireworks.
The clock said midnight as we watched the fireworks at the night sky.
I wasn't focused at the firework but the stars shining in the darkness.
Jungkook and Y/N kissed each other at Midnight while I was lost in my thoughts I felt someone come closer to me and placed a peck on my cheek.
,,Happy new year" he whispered as he back hugged me.
I stood there shocked and I didn't know what to do...
,,Happy new year" I smiled out while blushing.
I felt so comfortable, warm and loved in his embrace
The other male kept staring at me with the same eyes I've seen before...
Pain.
He's the one getting hurt again.
He pecked Y/N cheek, whispered something to Jungkook and her...
Then he went inside.
Y/N ran after him but Yoongi just disappeared behind the closed door.
That's when I started regretting it and I didn't even know why..

Guilt, regret, resentment, sadness and all forms of nonforgiveness are caused by too much past and not enough presence.
You shouldn't regret something that makes you smile...
But what if it makes you happy and sad at the same time...
What if the happiness turnes into regret after a while...
