Soon enough, Blake laid out blankets on the grass, next to the stone fire place that heated the two up. It was 7 p.m. and sun would go down in about an hour or so.

Blake's arm acted as a pillow, while the other played with Lilliana's soft and silky hair, even after being in the pool. She looked up at him, cuddling up on his chest.

"I could get used to this." He smirked.

"Mhm, why is it that you always have to make a snarky comment?" She joked.

"Because, I'm Blake Griffin baby." He said, kissing her cheek.

Lilliana sighed while lacing her fingertips with his. This caught Blake's attention, causing him to move and hover over her.

"What's wrong?" He pouted.

"It's nothing." She said, weakly smiling.

"Lilliana, c'mon don't do that." He said, getting frustrated.

"It's just that, today's basically our last day together." She said, not looking at him.

Blake didn't want to bring up the topic, he had been avoiding it all day. However, Lilliana couldn't handle it anymore.

"I play here in Detroit, though, Lil-"

"Yeah, I understand that. But what about your away games? Not every game is in Detroit, Blake." She said, frowning.

Blake took his hand and placed it on her chin, gently lifting her head up so she was now making eye contact with him.

"If I didn't want to make this work, I wouldn't have gone through all of this with you." He said.
