Ashton POV

I think I'm falling for Annabelle. Everything she does makes my heart flutter. Every time I hear her musical laugh, I'm on cloud nine. Every time. I have liked her for a while, but then I actually meet her and I'm in love. There is absolutely no way she loves me back, or even has anytime of emotional feelings for me, and that rips my heart up. I just want to kiss her, cuddle with her, be able to call her mine.

"Hi, Ash. Hi, Cal." Luke says as he walks in my dorm with Michael.

"What's up?" Calum asks.

"I was just doing some shitty homework I don't fucking know." Mike says.

"How's your project, Ash?" Calum asks.

"You're partnered with Belle, that's good, right?" Luke asks.

"Yeah, she's great."

"But how's it going? Do you think she likes you back? What number is she on?"

"It's going well. She definitely doesn't like me back, and last time I heard she's on nine." Then my phone rang and I saw that it was Belle, so I picked it up.

"Hey."

"Hi, Ash. Would you like go to the movies tomorrow? You can bring your friends if you'd like."

"Sure."

"Awesome."

"Are you bringing friends?"

"Only Amelia. Meghan and Jenna are busy."

"Okay. I'll ask my friends and get back to you. Do you want me to pick you up?"

"You don't have to. I can meet you there."

"I wouldn't do that to a lady. What time is the movie?"

"1:30."

"I'll see at one tomorrow." I say.

"That's number ten."

"What?"

"I just found another reason why I like you."

"And what is that reason?"

"You're a gentleman." I could just see her writing in her little Aztec notebook.

10. Gentleman

"Thank you." I say.

"You're welcome. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"See you tomorrow." I say and hang up. "She's on ten."

"What is ten?"

"I'm a gentleman."

"Keep being a gentleman, and she'll love you." Cal says.

God knows I love her.

"I wish I could see her notebook."

"You can." Mike says.

"I'm not stealing her damn notebook, Michael."

"No, not that."

"That what?"

"Just have a 'play fight' and take it away from her. Read the reasons before she takes it back, and then you'll know."

"Isn't this wrong, though?"

"No, you're her friend. You can play around with her like this." I look at Calum and Luke.

"Would you do this?" I ask them.

"Sure, go for it." Luke says.

"I used to do that to Mali all the time when she was texting her boyfriend."

"But she's not my sister!"

"No, no, not that. It's your relationship you have together. How treat her, how she treats you. That's how a brother and sister would treat each other. You know, you have a sister."

"I don't treat her like I do Lauren."

"Yes you do." All three boys agree.

"Do you think she'll be mad?"

"No, not at all. She's Belle, she won't get mad."

"Okay, fine. I'll do it."

"Remember, you're 'playing with her'?"

"Do you guys want to go to the movie with Belle and Amelia tomorrow?" I ask, trying to change the subject.

"Amelia? Sure, I'll go." Michael says.

"Are only going because Amelia is?" Luke teases.

"Do you like Amelia?"

"She's hot, okay?" Mikes defends himself.

"I'll go, too." Luke says.

"I'll go. I'm in for a movie with my mates and two hot chicks." Calum says.

"Hey, watch what you're saying about Belle." I warn.

"I know, I know. You like her. I won't interfere."

"Thank you."

"It's common friendliness rules. If a friend likes a girl, don't interfere on purpose."

"What if the girl starts to like the friend?"

"By herself, without any help?"

"Yes."

"Does the friend like the girl back?"

"Let's start with yes."

"The first friend should back down. If the girl is happy would that friend, and so is the friend, then he is, too." I say.

"What about no?"

"Then the first friend should continue to get her to like him. The second friend isn't going to date her if he doesn't like her."

"Okay."

"Why?"

"Just curious."

(The only reason I put this in here is so you guys can see how the guys in the story stand on relationships interfering with friendships.) (I said the only reason.) (accidental song reference.)

"Let's not make that happen. Like at all."

"None of us like Belle, mate." Luke says.

"Good."

"So, how much do you actually like her?"

"What do you mean?"

"Is it just a crush, do you really like her, are you falling, or are you in love with her?"

"I'm in love. And I started hanging out with her five days ago."

"You are so whipped, mate."

"I know."

"Five days. That's probably a record."

"Well, he did like her before this project."

"But five days into actually knowing her and I fall."

"It's alright, Belle is a good girl to fall for." Mikey says. (She's a good girl, she's daddy's favorite.) (another song reference.) (I'm on a role.)

"Yeah, she is."

THIS FREAKING SUCKED. ITS A CONVERSATION AND THATS IT. BUT I GOT WRITERS BLOCK. LUCKILY I MANAGED TO GET NEXT CHAPTER SET UP, SO LOOK FORWARD TO MOVIE NIGHT.
