Date Night (Part 1)
*Day Fifteen*
Annabelle POV
I finish putting on my mascara and set everything down. I stare at myself in the mirror for a long time, studying myself. Is my hair perfect? Does my dress have any crinkles? How does my make up look? Am I wearing too much or too little?
"How do I look?" I ask Jenna, who was on her bed flipping through a magazine.
"How do you think you look?"
"Jen, I don't know. That's why I'm asking you."
"Belle, you know that whatever you dress yourself you're going to look pretty. You're just a naturally pretty person to everyone besides yourself. You look amazing."
"But will Ashton like it?"
"Girl, Ashton will be the first one to admit to it," Then there was a knock on the door, "Now stop worrying and answer the door for the poor boy."
I take a deep breath and open the door for Ashton.
"Belle, wow, you look, wow. I-I can't, wow." He says.
"Told you." Jenna says.
"Thank you, Ashton. You look wow as well."
"Um, so are we ready to go?" Ashton asks.
"Yep." I say and grab my purse.
"Oh no, not so quickly, young lady."
Meghan says coming out of her bedroom with Milly following behind her. "We need to know exactly where you will be taking our darling Annabelle and when she'll be back."
"The hamburger place about twenty minutes from here? And then a movie? So, around midnight? Maybe?" Ashton answers.
"Huh, what movie? Because my daughter does like horror movies, so if you're taking her to see-"
"I'm not, ma'am. We're seeing a very comical movie that's not scary at all."
"Why didn't-"
"Okay, Father," I nod at Meghan, "Mother," I nod at Amelia, "Sister," I nod at Jenna, "I think it's time we go now."
"Be careful, honey. No funny business." Amelia says.
"I wouldn't dare, mom."
"I'll keep them occupied with Scramble so they don't realize when you come home late!" Jenna yells.
"Thank you." I say and pull Ashton away. "They're quite something, right?"
"Yeah, they're cool."
"I know."
"I'm really excited for this date."
"Me too! I love hamburgers!" I sing-song.
"And then the movie?"
"Yeah, what movie is it?"
"Annabelle. In honor of your name!"
"Ashton you told them it was funny."
"Oh, yeah, I totally lied."
"Well they weren't lying when they said that I don't like scary movies!"
"You'll do fine, princess. It's only a movie."
"No, I hope you do fine. Because I won't and I'm gonna need you."
"I'll do perfectly, thank you."
"I hope so." We take a turn and see Luke standing at Ashton's car with Michael and Calum.
"Oh, hey, Ash. Belle, you look pretty." Luke says.
"Thank you, Luke."
"Sure. Anyway, mate, you forgot your wallet. And the key to your dorm. You wouldn't want to come home after making Annabelle pay and having her attacking your neck without a key, would you?"
"Yeah, like I don't want you doing the nasty in my room while I'm asleep, but I also don't want to see your naked body when I leave for the morning. Belles I wouldn't mind, but you? No." Calum says.
"Okay, one, nobody will be seeing Belles body because, two, we won't be doing the nasty, and three, we would just do it in her room. And Cal, stop being such a perv. It's gross." Ashton says.
"Anyway, here are your things. We kind of stuck a condom in your wallet. Have fun and stay protected." Michael says. I roll my eyes and they walk away.
"Sorry about that." Ashton apologizes.
"No problem." I say. He swings over to my side and opens my door for me.
We drive to the restaurant and, once again, he opens every door for me and pulls out my chair for me.
What a gentleman.
"So, how am I doing am far?" Ashton asks.
"Stop worrying, it's going great so far. Ashton, you're one of my best friends, it's bound to be amazing."
"Well, I really like you and I don't want to disappoint you."
"Well, I really like you, too, and you won't disappoint me. I promise."
