*Day Nine*

Annabelle POV

"Hi, guys. Um, thanks for coming." I say to my seven friends. It's the morning after my disappearance and they were all wondering what the hell happened, and I'm here to explain that to them. Besides Ash and Jenna. I told him and my father told her. But, Luke, Cal, Mike, Meghan, and Amelia are dying for answers.

"First off, I'm sorry for just running of like that. I should've told Jenna, or anybody really where I was going."

"Belle, right now, we don't care that you just ran off. We just care about what happened and why you came back sobbing." Meghan says.

"Okay, um, as some of you know, actually only Meg, Jen, Milly, and now Ash know, but, I have an eleven-year-old brother. He was diagnosed with cancer when he was five. Yesterday morning, I got a call from my mother. She told me to quickly come down to the hospital," I started crying here and Ashton grabbed ahold of my hand. He started drawing comforting circles on my hand. I made a mental note:

16. Supportive

"Dylan wasn't doing well. I quickly left and went to him. We talked for a while, then he died while I was hugging him." I starting sobbing and my friends gasped.

"Oh, my gosh, Belle." Luke comes up and immediately hugs me. I hug him back. I thought about yesterday and how I was like this with Ashton.

17. Easy to talk to

"I'm so sorry for your loss." He whispers. I knew he meant it, too. And that's always awesome. Because that shows they care about you enough to hate to see you hurt.

So, shoutout to the seven of you.

"Thank you." I whisper back. Then he pulls away and goes over to where Ash is sitting.

Meghan comes up. She's crying, but not as much as me. She's met Dylan a few times before, so she's upset enough to shed a few tears, but not enough to sob up a storm.

"He was an amazing kid." She says and hugs me. It's one of those bear hugs you give when you're excited to see someone you haven't in a while, or when you're sad and desperately need someone to vent a cry on. Or, in our case, when your best friend just lost her little brother to cancer.

"I know. And do you know what makes this even worse?" I say.

"What?"

"His last words. I love you, Belle."

"Oh, Annabelle." She hugs me even tighter. Then she pulls away and Calum and Michael come up.

"I'm really sorry, kid. It hurts to loose a family member or friend close to you." Cal says.

"Yeah, so am I. We never met him, but if he was anything like you, he was a great kid. I know a lot of people are hurting as much as you are." Mikey says.

"Thanks, guys. Yeah, he was a lot like me actually. He was a great kid. Everyone loved him. And I'm sure a lot of people are very upset." They both give me tight hugs and Milly comes up. Just like the others, she jumps onto the hugging train.

"I'm really sorry." She whispers. She lost her mother so I know she honestly understands what I'm feeling, as probably wants to give back the same support I gave her.

"Thanks, Mill." I say. Jenna is by my side next, who also decides that hugging is the way to go.

"I'm really sorry, Belle. I know he meant a lot to you. I would probably lock away the world if this happened to my brother. You're really taking this pretty well."

"Thanks, Jenna." She gives me another hug and went with the rest of the group. Lastly, Ashton comes up to me. He takes my hands and looks at me straight in the eyes. He gives a sentimental smile.

"You did a really good job. I know that was hard for you to announce. I'm really sorry."

"Thank you, Ash. You've really been so supportive for me since yesterday. I can't thank you enough."

"It's no problem. I'd cross the Pacific by boat for you."

Wow, I really love him.

"Thank you, Ash." He hugs me again. I come up with a idea. "Hey, Ash?" I pull apart from him.

"What's up?"

"Do you think you guys would come to the funeral with me?"

"Yeah, I think they'd agree."

"Okay, I'll ask them."

"Um, guys?" I say. "I have a question to ask all of you."

"What is it?" Cal asks.

"Will you all come to the funeral? For support?" They all look at each other.

"Of course we will, Belle. Anything for a friend." Michael says.
