Eighty-One Through Eighty-Five Reasons Why

*Day Twenty-Four*

Annabelle POV

"Well, Belle, since you have you leave today, I think you should know, I think you're great for my son. He was smart to pick you." Anne tells me at the door.I smile when I hear that.

"Thank you, I like your son very much." I say.

"I can tell, and I can really tell he likes you, too."

In case you haven't caught on, today is the day I leave the Irwin house to go to my house. I have all my stuff in my bag, and I'm about to walk out the door with Ashton. He is planning on driving me there, and to have a five minute conversation with my parents, then leave again, to come back here.

"Belle, it was so great to meet you." Anne says.

"It was great to meet you, too."

"Have a wonderful time with your family."

"As well for you guys." I bend down to Lauren and Harry. "It was awesome meeting you guys."

"You too, Belle." Harry says.

"Alright, well bye!" I say and I walk out of the house with Ashton behind me.

"I'll be back in about an hour or so!" Ashton tell them.

When Ash shuts the door, I immediately ask, "How did I do? Do you think they like me?"

"Yes, Annabelle, they love you. There's no reason to be worried. Didn't you listen to my mother?"

81. Reassuring

"You're right, I'm sorry." I get in Ashton's car with him, and he starts to drive.

"There is no reason to be sorry, beautiful." I blush and buckle my seatbelt.

"How far away is your house from here?" He asks.

"Um, half an hour?" I guess.

"Alright. How about we put some All Time Low in the CD player, and jam out until we get to your house."

"That is a wonderful idea." I say and I put the nearest All Time Low CD into the player.

After about fifteen minutes of just talking, weird dancing, and totally off key singing, I feel light and free.

"Oh, I fucking love this song!" Ashton exclaims.

82. A bit crazy

"Me too!" I say. We start singing along and dancing like a loony unicorn on LSD. I'm playing the imaginary guitar, while Ashton is tapping his fingers on the wheel, somehow still maintaining a legal speed and safety level for the car he's driving.

83. Good driver

"I think someone just touched my crotch!" Ashton sings.

"I love that line! It's so funny." I say.

"And I love you." Ashton says, tearing his eyes away from the road for two seconds to glance at me. I blush a little bit.

"I love you, too."

84. Tells me he loves me when it's least expected

"Good. I was just making sure."

"You thought I didn't love you anymore?"

"No, not at all, I just wanted to hear you say it." He says and I smile. We drive for a little bit longer, until we come to a park I used to play at as a kid.

"Okay, Ashton, we're getting near my house. At this next stop sign, turn right." He follows my directions. "Then turn left twice," Once again, he does just that, "It the fourth house from the top. The white one with the Australian flag on the front." I describe my house, and Ashton slowly drives to that house and parks. I step out, as does Ashton, and I go to get my bag out of the trunk, but Ash beats me to it.

"I got it." He says. I smile and walk up to my porch. I knock on the door, and after a few moments, my mother's smiling face answers.

"Annabelle, oh, we've missed you!" She exclaims. She pulls me into a hug and I gladly accept it.

"I've missed you, too, Mom." I say into her neck.

"Annabelle, hi." My dad says. I smile and hug him too.

"Hi, Daddy."

"And who is that handsome young man holding you bag, sweetie?" My mother asks.

"Oh! Guys, this is Ashton, my boyfriend." I introduce them. Ashton switches my bag from his right hand to his left, and holds it out.

"Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins. It's great to finally meet you." He says, smiling, but I can tell he's nervous.

85. Nice to my parents

"Hello, son. What did my daughter say your name was again? I'm sorry I forgot, I was just looking at your car. That's very impressive." My dad says. He's always been a big fan of cars.

"Oh, thank you. I got it when I turned sixteen."

"And how old are you now?"

"Twenty."

"You must maintain it very well."

"I try, sir."

"So you're older than my daughter?" My mom asks.

"Yeah, I was born in July, and Annabelle was born the August a year after."

"So you're a year and a month than her?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"But, that's not a problem." I interject. I could tell Ashton was getting nervous. "My mom doesn't mind, Ash."

"No, of course not. I can tell you're a good boy who treats my daughter well, correct?"

"Correct, Mrs. Jenkins."

"Call me Laura. And my husband is Jim."

"Alright."

"Wait, we kind of threw the question about your name away, what is it again?"

"Ashton."

"Ashton, alright. Yeah, I can remember that."

"Well, Ash, you should probably get home." I tell him.

"We'll give you a minute. It was meeting you, son." Dad says. Ashton shakes their hands and they shut the door.

"It went great!" I tell him.

"Really? You think they like me?" Ashton asks.

"Yeah!"

"And they mind my age?"

"Ash, when I was a freshman, I dated a junior. They loved him."

"Please don't talk about your past boyfriends."

"Eh, he wasn't anywhere as attractive as you are." I say and he smiles. I smile as well and kiss him. When we pull apart, I hug him. "I love you." I say.

"I love you, too." Ashton says and pulls away. "I'll see you soon. Bye, Annabelle."

"Bye, Ashton." I say and he pecks my lips before walking to his car and getting in. He drives away and I walk into my house.

"He's a good boy." My mom says. I nod and smile. Then I realize something:
