Y/n walks through Magnolia quite sluggishly, her cloak swaying side to side as she lazily put one foot over the other. Her eyes blinked slowly, trying to adjust to the sun peeking through the clouds. A tired sigh left her as the sun fully left the path of the clouds, beating down at her with intense heat. She pulled the hoodie tighter over her body, earning an eye roll from her exceed. E/n took another bite of her cookie, sprouting her wings from her back. She flew off the ground that began to grow hot, flying around the cloaked woman.

She had just completed the series of jobs given to her by the council. Despite being reluctant to let the children help, they did a good job. Well, sometimes they did a good job. Sting tends to get a little too excited when fighting. He nearly blew Rogue's head off when he attempted to aim a roar at the opponent far away. That led to Rogue getting pissed off about it, and jumping the blonde. The two fought childishly, and she had to repair some of the damages they did. It wasn't a lot like Natsu, but it was still damages done by children.

As a thank you before their departure, she gave them some money for the road. And she had to specifically explain to
Sting that the money wasn't for toys or junk. Sting was really sad by that, and ever so politely begged for more money as if the toys were truly something he cannot live without. Rogue gladly delivered a hit to the back of his head. He did not hesitate to discipline the blonde whenever necessary. Sometimes, Y/n wonders what may have truly happened to their dragons. She can smell death on them, they certainly killed them, but to seem stronger seems a little farfetched. But at the same time, highly plausible with the magic they hold.

"Think we can stop by the bakery first?" E/n asked calmly. She landed on the woman's shoulders, peeking over her hoodie. She blinked her eyes curiously and almost convincingly. Y/n huffed and pointed at the half-finished cookie in her hold.

"You already have a treat, ain't that enough for you?" The exceed shook her head slowly. Her wide full-blown eyes nearly made the girl fall prey to them. The way they stared into her soul and glistened with innocence made her insides churn. She grits her teeth and looked away from the now pouting exceed, shoving her hands in her pocket. She pulled out her credit card and looked over it,

"Fine, but only a few things," She muttered. E/n smiled at that, leading the woman to the bakery not too far from where they're walking. Y/n's tired look morphed into one of familiarity. She slowed her walking down as the sound of wagon wheels rolling over stone filled her ears. It was faint, and she could hear the small sound of armor hitting together.

She looked back with a smile on her face, "Erza," She greeted. The redhead smiled at her, speeding up and stopping before her. She did not let go of the handle of her cart, but she did loosen her grip on it.

"Y/n, E/n, good to see you," Y/n nodded slowly, eying the large horn sitting on the cart. She pointed at it, running her eyes over it once more, taking in the jewelry decorating the tip of it. The shape and color were familiar, it belonged to a reptile, that much she can tell. E/n squinted her eyes at it, trying to identify the horn.

"Why do you have a horned serpent's horn?" She asked, recreating the creature's hiss in her head.

"After I've defeated the monster, they wanted to thank me so they removed the horn and decorated," Erza stated with a proud smile, pulling the cart closer to her. She placed a hand on the horn's base, rubbing it slightly. She was in awe of it, despite being the one to kill its owner.

"Ah," Was all E/n could say, eyeing the horn.

"So uh- where are you going to put that thing? I don't think master will let you keep it in the guild, " Y/n asked, walking up to the cart. She placed her hand on the base of the horn, knocking on it lightly. She heard the small echo of the hollow horn and hummed softly.
