4: A Series Of New Members

"Okay, so, this jacket is how much exactly?"

"It's a coat- a fur one, and pretty damn expensive, 900,000 jewels." E/n nodded, sliding a Jenga piece from its spot and moving it to the top.

"Aha, good material?"

"The best,"

"Shipping?"

"Reasonable,"

"From where?"

"Alastor, on the other side of the world. That place is where all the rich people live. So it's pretty damn hard just to park a car without getting into debt,"

"If Y/n and help you pay for it, can I wear it?"

"Sure,"

Laxus lingered his fingers on a Jenga piece, holding his breath as he pulled it out. He exhaled slowly as he lifted the piece and placed it at the top, smirking at the cat who narrowed her eyes.

"What happened to the kid?"

"Mission," was all she said as she reached for another piece.

"By herself? Isn't she S-Class?" Laxus almost didn't want to say it, feeling ill by his own words.

"Her magic is S-Class level, but we're still children, she can't take an S-Class mission until she's 16. Besides, it'll be weird for a 12-year-old to walk onto a battlefield meant for S-Class, wouldn't it?"

Laxus shrugged as he looked over the tower of Jenna, eyeing the next piece.

"I guess, what mission is it?" He said as he reached for the awaiting piece.

"Fighting some big earthworm, I'm not too sure on the details, but she should be back today or tomorrow." The tower collapsed and E/n hoot in victory, opening her palms for her reward. Laxus sighed and dug into his pockets, pulling out a small pouch of jewels.

He placed it into her paws and stood up, putting his headphones on as the cat count the jewels.

Y/n stepped over a large tree root, her senses overflowing with the scent of a newer enemy or friend.

Her fist clenched and build up with magic power as she drew closer, the sound of a rushing stream adding more to the scenery. Her brows furrowed as a new sound became known.

Sobbing.

She cringed slightly as she realized the situation she got herself in. The boy before her cried and sobbed near the stream, but it's obvious he noticed her.

Maybe if I leave quickly I can-

"What do you want?" She cursed herself and the life choices that got her here, mustering her best smile, which only worried the boy further. Just by his scent alone, she can tell he's special, just like her.

She took a step closer, lowering her magic,  "I heard someone crying, and I thought someone was hurt," That was a lie. She came because she senses the magic potential in his vessel.

"Well I'm fine," the boy wiped his eyes, trying to muster up an intimidating face to scare the girl away.

"You don't look fine," She said, another step closer.
