Her hunch came in so suddenly that she visibly jolted. It was a sort of hunch that pulled at her back and suddenly filled her with energy. It made her feel as if something bad was going to happen. And it was always most accurate up to this point in her life. It felt so strong that she had left Mystogan moments ago at their campsite. She felt a little bad, but she couldn't help it, it was eating away at her.

So here she is, running through the forest in brutal rhythm, passing by many trees that blurred past her vision. She licked her lips and ducked down a low branch, nearly slipping over some moss. She hopes she's wrong. She really hoped that this hunch was just her paranoia. While she hoped she's wrong, the thought of coming back to
Mystogan being wrong is something she doesn't want to go through.

Especially with how he was visibly sad at her words.

"You're kidding, right?" Mystogen asked as he stared at the girl across from him with a deadpan expression. Unlike the earlier times of this friendship they had form, his mask was off. He was far more comfortable with her today than he was a few years ago. Back then, he couldn't even look at her in the eye without feeling a bit awkward with himself. It was a bit amusing at first, but it got a bit tiring, especially since communication was needed.

He sat on the ground, legs crossed. Despite being comfortable around her, he still wore his outfit. This was due to an inner fear that if he were to take it off, then he'll be needed at that moment. His brows were furrowed, and his lips were tilted downwards in a frown. They interacted a lot, yet he can never recall when it's just them.

There was always something around or someone there with them. E/n was always there, but he didn't mind her. She helps a lot lessen awkward tension, or to change the subject if it landed on something personal. She provided fresh air for the two. He can handle talking to the exceed, alone, but to Y/n, he couldn't help the fluttering insignificant feelings in his chest.

A small campfire sat next to the pair, providing enough lights ounce to lower whatever paranoia they may have of the forest. Crickets chirped in the distance, and in the dark abyss around them, fireflies began to swarm. They emitted a soft green light, flying around carelessly around, giving a more dreamy and somewhat fantasy look to the forest. It was visually pleasing to the woman, and it made her a bit warm on the inside.

Mystogan thought she looked beautiful with the fireflies behind her, and the soft golden light of the campfire. But he did not say anything about it, just mindlessly stare.

The woman shook her head at his words, "Sadly, no, I'm just going to-"

"You're going to see if either of them is doing something dumb- which they're most likely be doing," He cut in, averting his gaze away from her for a moment.

She can clearly see his disappointed face from where she sat.

This was always the hard part of leaving. She always finishes missions with him, but there will be some times when she got a hunch or a call about either Natsu or Gray causing immense trouble. This will lead her to awkwardly break the news to him. She had noticed that he'll often stare at her and will warm up when she wants to go on a job with him. It was small details about him that she took to heart, feeling as though she managed to get underneath his shell. She thought she did a good job of being his Earthland friend.
