48: Fights

An explosion was set off not too far from the pair. One of the 7 kin have already taken down two fairies - the Strauss Sisters.

Zancrow have failed to eliminate the Fire Dragon.

The strongest wizard of Fairy tail had already went back to Magnolia - along with two of the thunder legion.

There's no doubt that they will return to help fight the intruders.

The pair journey through the forest, one behind the other.

The one in the lead is walking calmly, not affected by the fights going on deeper within the island.

"Are you sure you're going the right way?" Ultear asked the dark dragon.

The Dragon nodded, her wings folded begin her back and her tail swaying slightly.

Despite the confirmation, Ultear grew suspicious.

When Ultear asked the Dragon to lead her to the male - she seemed, hesitant.

Her posture was straining itself to keep moving and her jaw lock, but nonetheless, she walked.

Her actions made it look like she didn't even want to go or see Zeref - as if he was that one annoying family member.

And we all know how they can be.

"Tell me again what's your intention with him." She requested.

"I've told you many times, and haven't Master Hades told you?" Ultear said, her tone hinting her annoyance with the same question being asked again.

"He had, but it seems like you specifically want him more than to just bring darkness to the world." She said, her steps slowing down a little.

Ultear was hesitant but a little flustered.

The mere thought of 'Lord Zeref' seems to put her in a blushing state. She have seen Zeref --but by a projection-- but haven't seen him face-to-face before or witnessed his power.

But she just found him amazing in every way. His work. The demons. His power.

Everything

"You haven't answered my question." Y/n's voice growled. Ultear snapped out of her daze and stare at the back of the Dragon as they walk.

She didn't even noticed that they're now by large boulders with a river nearby.

Wanting her next sentence to be short, she said "Once I found him, my heart will be free."

Y/n cringed slightly and mentally gagged.

Then she stopped.

The sound of someone's footsteps behind the pair.

"Who's there?!" Ultear asked, turning to look back.

"You've been looking for me?" No doubt about it. 'It's him.' Ultear thought.

The voice made Y/n exhale a sharp breath she didn't knew she was holding. She didn't want to turn back, she didn't want to see him.

But she could feel his eyes burning through her back.

His gaze was telling her to look at him -

Which she did

Zeref - walking to them. A calm yet angered look on his face.

Once seeing the wings claws and Y/n's face that now have scales and a blue mark on it, he turned to Ultear.

"I see...." He started, his fists unnoticeably clenched once he put two and two together. His gaze fell on Ultear again - Who's smiling at the male.
