Oh, how time passes.

How long has she been there? A month, maybe? She lost track.

But she would've spent the month alone if it wasn't for the talking cat. Maybe she hallucinated her to fill in the empty part of her soul? Maybe not.

But without her, oh how lonely it would've been. No other life present. Not even a mere bug. Birds exist, but they fly past the island, they never land to make a home, or find a mate. They fly over the island like it's a forbidden area.

Maybe it is? Maybe the island was protected.

But why? What dangers are stronger than her father for the island needed to be protected?

Surely, people won't truly try to hurt her. Would they?

The world is a cruel place, he would say. It was always the same response.

Aren't their nice people out there? Good amongst the bad? He doesn't believe that. Everyone is the same in his eyes, the exception being her. And that frightened her.

Would he hate the cat? Would he banish the cat-like he did to every other animal? Or would he welcome it?

What would he do if he hates her?

That's something she doesn't want to think about.

"You're spacing again." her running thoughts came to a stop. The cat stares with curious eyes, head tilted slightly.

"What were you thinking about?" She shook her head.

"Nothing important,"

The cat took her words, looking back at the field. Training. She was supposed to train, but she finds herself spacing out more than training.

Not to mention, when she does, she gets a burst of magic power. It didn't make sense how it was possible. As far as she knows, Y/n was a child. Yet her magic abilities seems like it was thousands of years old.

Y/n brought her arms up dramatically, staring up at the cloudy sky. She chanted the words to start her spell, the words that echoed and flow through the winds. It was a beautiful chant, it sounded beautiful, but the words, not so much.

Eliminate my enemies

Eliminate the ones that oppress.

Eliminate the ones in the wrong.

Spare the good.

But only the good.

Destroy this land upon where I stand.

But leave the animals that wander it.

The rest became inaudible at this point as the winds began to pick up speed. The clouds swirl, darker.

A strange spell to know. Why would she have enemies? She's a child.

"Derecho!" The attack came down from the clouds as a beam of elements. Water, wind, lightning. It was a little bigger than the girl herself, and it struck a mushroom and three twigs.

When the attack died down, Y/n groaned.

"I got all four..." She mumbled. She failed, again.

The spell was to eliminate the mushroom, but leave the twigs. Selective magic, she can choose who to hit, yet is having a hard time doing so.
