7: More Dragons, More Exceeds

Her anger was evident as she stormed through the buzzing streets of Magnolia. The citizens greeted her with friendly smiles but backed away immediately once they sense the anger pulsing around her body.

They parted and made way for her, allowing her easy access to get to the guild.

Her fist clenched tightly, turning white, before loosening like she was rethinking.

Then it clenched again. This time, she snarled. The conversation she had with Lahar nailing into her head as a reminder. She can still remember the disappointment behind his eyes once he saw her again. It sort of hurt. Sort of.

She reached the large double doors of the guildhall. She clicked her tongue and brought her fist up. Before her fist can pound into the door and possibly do some damages, she opened it into a palm. She slowly brought her hand down on the door, pushing it open.

The outside breeze flooded into the guild, and the first thing she noticed was Natsu's smile.

He was in a chokehold with Gray but stopped caring about it the minute he smelt her. Happiness buzz inside of him like a hive of bees, and he pushed Gray to the ground. With open arms, he ran to the woman, claiming how much he missed her, even though she was only gone for a few hours.

Gray, while happy to see her again, noticed the dark aura around her. He slowly stepped back away from the main entrance, pulling Lucy back with him.

Lucy glanced at him with confused eyes. She wasn't sure why he was scared, Y/n seems pretty nice when she met her-

"You motherfucker!"

Her head snapped to the deadly booming voice at the entrance. Her heart fell into dread, and she felt goosebumps travel all around her body at the change of tone.

Natsu shrieked and barely managed to escape her wrath on time, tripping over Y/n's pushed-out leg.

"Whatever I did, Gray did it!" He yelled, clawing at the floor as the woman took slow menacing steps to him.

"This isn't Gray's doing, it's yours. The damages you've caused in that town is what we should be discussing," She seethes, hoisting him up to the air.

The first thing Lucy thought was, wow, she's strong.

"The boat would've easily been charged to Bora instead since it wasn't our fault, but the buildings you've set on fire, the buildings you've destroyed- 10 Natsu, 10,"

"That's not a lot!" Natsu exclaimed, making hand gestures to his guildmates, who promptly look away. They don't want to get in between any of this.

"Natsu, sweety, let's do the math together," She dropped him, crouching down at his level.

"Rent for the apartment buildings is 250,000 j each. Now, each building is worth 800,000 to 900,000 jewels. BUT, people were living inside. Now, let's count their valuables, shall we? Their beds, their lacrima TVs, pictures, paintings, antiques, and their health. How much does that add up to?"

Natsu counted with his fingers, his brows furrowing as he got caught on 40,059 + 56,870 jewels.

"Enough to buy and sell people, Natsu, you specifically," He swallowed dryly, the dear rising inside of him as the aura grew, and so did her anger.
