The wind blew softly through the city of Magnolia. The sun beamed down on them, covering them in its warmth like a blanket. The birds sang and the flowers bloomed, and the tension is high. In the town, people went about their daily lives, going to markets, cleaning, taking lovely walks around the park, but not this certain group. They chose not to go about their lives, too curious about the situation at hand before their very eyes.

Y/n stood in the center of this situation, her eyes narrowed. She wore her cloak again, and her hoodie was up. No one can see any details of her body, but the shape of her shoulders. This gave off some weird eery effect to the group around her as if she was a mystery that needed to unravel. But, her opponent was unfazed by her attire and her eery stance. If he was being honest, it makes him more excited for the fight about to come. The fear, the adrenaline pumping through his veins, and the tension of it all got him on his toes.

Natsu couldn't hold in his grin, bouncing slightly in his spot. His eyes stayed on the woman for a short while, trying to find out what face she's making underneath her hoodie. But, after a failed attempt, he moved on to the woman next to her.

Erza stood calmly as well, her arms crossed over her chest. There was a stern look written on her face, and her eyes were narrowed at the fire-breather. She still wore her usual attire, but it also gave off a sense of power and dominance. Her scarlet hair blew in the wind, and she looks like a counterpart of the cloaked woman. No one said a word about it though, wanting to keep their heads in place.

A large crowd surrounding them with different variations of people. Wizards, townsfolk, Fairy Tail mages, and finally their group of friends, followed by the exceeds and Lucy.  They whispered among each other, theorizing and betting who might win. Some even tried to predict what moves the mages would make to fight the other. And in the middle of the crowd, sat a small table. Sitting on that table were two exceeds, collecting the money from the bets. This wasn't the first time they had done this, and it surely wouldn't be their last.

Apart from the citizens, stood Lucy, Gray, and Mira. Lucy glanced among the three mages. She leaned towards Gray, "Don't you think this'll tear the strongest team apart?"

Raising a brow at her, he questioned her words, to which she replied in simply telling him the members of their so-called team. She ended this by concluding that with them combined, they were the strongest team in the guild.

"What idiot told you that?" He inquired with a small scoff. He was unaware that this supposed idiot was possibly one of the sweetest women in the guild. Mira smiled brightly, her hands joined in front of her. And in a second, she was hunched over, crying into her hands at his insult. Realizing that this supposed idiot was Mirajane, Gray came to her aid.

While awkward, he tried his best to comfort her. He placed a hand on her shoulder, and the other on her back. He brought his voice down to try and minute ick a soft and comforting tone, "Oh no Mira! You're not an idiot!" He assured the woman.

"But you gotta admit though..." Elfman started. He stared at the tree in anticipation. Neither of them has yet to make a move, taunting each other with their eyes. But he did notice the slight shuffle of Y/n's feet. She brought one back behind the other, readying herself. Elfman recognized this slight move. It told him a lot. It told him that she was planning on charging forward. No effects, no blinding attacks, just running forward. If she was leaning slightly over while her foot was way back, then that would mean that she'll be moving at the speed of light. But this wasn't the case.

And it seems like Natsu caught onto this as well.

His eyes landed back on the man that challenged both queens to the duel. He knew the fire-breather can be insane, but not thus insane. It's a bit inspirational if he's being honest.
