Chapter 4

Cameron's POV~

I was excited for the baby to come. I was still in love with Mel. It's all the stress I was under to be a good father and a good husband and to take care of 2 human beings. Yeah I might get more stressed out but the feeling I get when I remember the baby is that it'll bring Mel and I together. I woke up before Mel did so I took a shower. I got out and saw her still sleeping. I got Derek ready for his play date later. "Ok buddy you ready?" "Yes Daddy. I'm gonna go say bye to mommy." "Alright." He went upstairs and came downstairs. "Let's go I wanna see Alex." I buckled him in and drove to Mahogany's house. She opened up. "Hey Cam." "Hey Lox. just give us a call later and we'll come pick him up." "Okay. See ya later!" I walked back to my car and got in. I sat down thinking about all the stuff I've done. That's got me to the place where I'm at now. I put the key in the ignition and drove back home.

Melanie's POV~

I woke up to Derek tapping me. "Mom. Mom. Mom. Wake up." "Yeah sweetie?" "I'm leaving to Alex's house. I love you." He leaned down and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "See you later Little man." He ran downstairs. I slept In for a little longer until I got a call. "Hello? Melanie Dallas?" "Yes?" "Your husband Cameron has been in a car accident." My heart shattered. I didn't want to lose him. Why him? I got in my car and started to drive to the hospital. I called Lox to ask if Derek could stay over the night. "Lox. Cameron got in a car accident I'm driving to the hospital. Do you mind keeping Derek over night?" "Oh my god. Yeah it's not problem. When you get there give me a call to let me know what's going on." I hung up and got out the car. "Hi I'm here for my husband. Cameron Dallas." "Oh yes. Down the hall last door to the right." I went behind the double doors and went to see him. He was awake. "Cameron." He wasn't looking so good. "Mel. I'm sorry. Don't tell Derek I'm in here." "Theres no reason to say sorry. And I haven't. Are you okay?" "I guess. And I'm sorry I got into this. It's just too much stress to put you under. Worrying about me." "Cameron you're gonna be alright. I promise. I love you Cam." "Love You Too Mel." He fell asleep so I sat next to him and did the same. I woke up to Cameron on his phone. "Do you feel better?" "Yeah. Not by much through. I'm really tired so I'm gonna go back to sleep." "Okay. I'm gonna call Lox to keep her updated. I'll be back." He nodded and turned to his side. I walked out and called her. "He's fine but he's still in a bad condition." "Okay. Derek's having fun with Alex and he was happy when I told him he was staying. Take as much time as you need I can keep him here without a problem." "Thanks Lox. I owe you. I'll call you back later. Bye." I walked back in and saw the machine. It went dead.
