Chapter 7

Melanie's POV~

I explained to him what happened. He was confused when I said Carter was coming because I never told him the story. "Melanie! Why didn't you tell me this before?!" "I don't know. It's just he left so there was no point." "Babe. I'll be here for you. Don't worry. If he lays a finger on you. Tell me and I will beat his sorry ass." "Thanks Cam. Love You." "Love You Too Mel." He got back up fixing the towel around his waist. And went to change. I went to Derek's room. He was still sleeping but we had to go see the house and I wanted him to see it too. "Sweetie wake up." "Mom. I'm tired." "Me too. But we get to go see our new house." He shot up and started changing. I walked out and took a shower. I changed and put my make up on. I walked downstairs and saw Derek and Cameron watching Captain America. "You boys ready?" Cameron looked back. "Sure are babe." Derek walked to the door as I got the keys. Cameron slipped his shoes on and we left. Cameron drove to the address. We got there and it was huge. 6 bedrooms. 4 bathrooms. A big backyard with a pool. It was perfect. We went inside and saw the realtor. "Hello. My name is Jennifer." "Hi. I'm Melanie Dallas. With my husband Cameron and son Derek." "This little guy is so cute." She said referring to Derek. She showed us around the house and Derek seemed to love it and so did Cameron. When I first walked in I knew it was the one. "Derek? Cameron?" They both nodded with huge smiles on their faces. "We'll take it Jennifer." We went back downstairs and signed the papers. She have us the keys and walked away. "Well. This is our new home guys." I said. "Mom. Can I pick my room?" "Sure lets go." I held hands with Cameron as we went upstairs. "I wannnttt- This one!" He said walking into a room with a balcony and 2 glass doors. "You sure?" "Positive." "Alright. When we start moving in this will be your new room Buddy." Cameron said as he opened the doors. We walked out into the balcony. "It's beautiful up here." I said looking over the neighborhood. "It is." Cameron agreed. Derek just sat there looking at the sky. "Let's go back home-" "We are home Mommy." "I mean the other one silly." We all laughed. "Let's go so we can go pack and move in." I walked out the house and Cameron locked the door. We saw paparazzi outside. They weren't there for us. But for the fact that Carter was carrying boxes into a house down the street. I couldn't believe it. Cameron unlocked the car quickly and everyone started taking pictures of us. "Cameron I can't believe this." He just sighed and looked out the window. "It'll be okay Mel. We'll get through this." I gave him a kiss and we went back home.

*The Next Morning*

I woke up and looked at my phone. I had a bunch of Instagram and Tweet notifications. It was a magazine with Cameron and I on the cover of it. It said how we were moving. I couldn't believe it. Now Katie won't get off our case. And adding on with Carter moving down the street?! Great. "Babe wake up." "What?" I could tell he was tired. We stayed up late packing up most of the stuff so we could get out of here as soon as possible. "We're on a magazine." He sat up quickly and looked at my phone. "This is unbelievable!" He said as he stood up angry. "Cameron calm down-" "No. Don't tell me to calm down. I can't. I was starting to feel like I was protecting my family. Now to find out we're on the cover of a magazine everyone reads?! What am I supposed to do now Melanie!!" "Cameron please stop yelling." I said as I felt tears starting to come. "It's not your fault. You've done more than enough for this family Cameron. It'll be okay. We'll get through this. I promise." He sat next to me and hugged me tightly. "I'm sorry Mel for yelling. I just feel bad not being able to do everything possible to help our family out." "It's okay Cameron. You've helped his family a lot and what you've done Is more than enough. Just relax a bit okay? I'm gonna go make breakfast." He nodded and laid back down.
