Melanie's POV~

We were just laying on the couch as someone rang the doorbell. "I got it." I said getting up. "Carter? What're you doing here?" "Your mail was in mine so I just came to return it. How are you doing?" "Nows not the time that I would like to talk-" I was cut off as his lips smashed into mine. I quickly pulled away. "Get out of here Carter! No one wants you here! Do you know how hurt Lox was when you left her with your 2 month old son?!" "So what? Jacobs there." "So what? Do you know how messed up you are to do that to her?!" "I loved you the whole time Mel I seriously did-" "Stop. Don't call me that. You've lost that privilege. Yeah Jacob's there, and it's better. At least he earned being called Dad by Alex. You could never replace him. Just leave and don't come back." I slammed the door on his face. I went to walk into the living room but saw Cameron standing there with his fists clenched. "How long have you been standing there?" "Long enough. I'll be right back." I went to stop him knowing he was going after Carter. "No Stop! Cameron please!" "No. He's not getting away this time Melanie." I lost grip and saw him walk out the door. I sat on the couch and saw Derek with a scared face. "Mom. I'm scared." "Derek it's going to be okay." "Who was that? He looks familiar." Don't worry about it. Let's keep watching tv." I was confused on how he's seen Carter. After 15 minutes later I saw Cameron walk in. He had bruises and cuts on his face. "Are you okay?" "Yeah I'm totally fine. I'm just going to get some sleep." I didn't get was his problem was to get mad at me. I didn't do anything. I stopped him from going upstairs. "What's going on? Why are you mad?" "I don't want to talk Mel." "Just tell me." "NO! I'll tell you tomorrow!!" He's never raised his voice this loud. "Alright. Fine." I could feel the tears coming. He sighed and put his head down. "I'm sorry Melanie. I didn't mean to-" "It's whatever. Just go to sleep. We can talk tomorrow. I don't want to talk right now Cameron." He nodded and went upstairs. I honestly had no idea what was going on with him lately. He's been on edge and angry a lot. "Are you okay Mom?" "I'm fine Sweetie. Let's go get some dinner okay?" He nodded and I drove us to Wendy's. He ordered chicken nuggets. He ate but I wasn't hungry so I just sat on my phone. Cameron texted.

C-When are you coming home?

M-After Derek finishes eating. Why?

C-I want to talk

M-Cameron I said tomorrow. I don't feel like it right now.

C-Okay then see you guys later

I Locked my phone and waited. "Done." Derek said as he finished. I drove us home and saw Cameron sleeping on the couch. "Go change. I'll be up in a minute to tuck you in." Derek ran upstairs to his room. I sat next to Cameron. "What'd you want to talk about?" He slowly woke up. "Carter. He said he's been seeing Derek at school everyday. He gets close to him and he said he's gonna take him one of these days." I honestly didn't know what to think. Our son was in danger. I could feel my eyes watering. "I knew it." "Wait what?!" "When you left D said that Carter looked familiar to him." "This is serious Mel. What're we gonna do? Our son's in danger." We talked and figured we could just tell the front desk to not let him in. I tucked Derek in. We all went to sleep.
