Chapter 21

Melanie's POV~

"I'm sorry Melanie. Really. I love you okay? I've always loved you. Before the dare, after the dare. He knew I had feelings for you for the longest time. I had been wanting to ask you out but I would always chicken out. So he dared me for my sake." "It's fine I guess. Why didn't you just tell me earlier-" he smashed his lips into mine. "Because it didn't matter. Only you did." He gave me a hug and I went to the store. I saw Carter there with a little girl who looks around Alex's age. I tried avoiding him in the aisles but couldn't. The little girl ran into me and turned around. "Sorry." "It's okay Sweetie. You should return to your parents now." "My mom's not here. Just my dad." She said with a smile and ran to Carter. Carter was her dad. Carter walked up to me. "She told you?" "Yeah. Katie's the mom isn't she?" He nodded. I walked away. I payed at the register and drove home. I ran upstairs to Cameron's room. "Carter's a dad." "No he's not. Jacob is." "N-No. Listen. I'm not saying 'the dad' I'm saying a dad. To a little girl." "What?! How do you know?" "I saw him in the store with her. Katie's the mom." "Oh. Well are you going to tell Lox?" "No. I mean she doesn't have to know." "Okay." I cooked lunch and the 3 of us ate. "So how was Emma?" "Good. She woke up once but fell back asleep." We finished eating lunch. "I'm going shopping with the kids." "Okay. I'm going to edit my video so I'll be here." I got the kids ready and drove to Target. We got diapers and essentials and went back home. Emma fell asleep so I put her in her crib and Derek was eating grapes at the kitchen counter. I walked into Cameron's office and saw him passed out on the ground. "Cameron. Babe. Wake up. Please!!" I shook him and called 911.

Cameron's POV~

I went to my office and started editing my video. Someone knocked at the door so I headed downstairs. I assumed it was Mel but it was Carter. "Carter. What're you doing here?" "We need to talk Cameron." He went to walk past me but I pushed him out. "No we don't." I slammed the door on his face and went back upstairs. I soon heard the door close downstairs and someone head towards my office. "Next time I say we need to talk you listen!!" Carter swung at me with his fist and I soon blacked out.

Melanie's POV~

The ambulance took him so I got the kids and drove to the hospital. "Hi I'm here for Cameron Dallas." The nurse pointed me to the double doors. "Dad!!" "Derek!!" Derek ran towards Cameron. "A-Are you okay?" "I'm fine. It was just Carter-" "Wait. Carter did this?!" "Yeah Mel just calm down-" "Don't tell me to calm down! He's always trying to mess with us and I'm tired of it Cam! I'm going to do something about this wether you like it or not!" I ran out of the hospital to my car. I drove to Carter's house. I pounded on the door. "What?!" "Don't ever- I mean EVER touch Cameron or even come near my family again! Or you will end in jail." "I can do whatever I want. I'm not scared." I walked to my car and drove back to the hospital. "What'd you do?" "I told him to never come near us again. Or he'll end up in jail." Emma started crying so I carried her and walked her around the hospital to get her to calm down.
