Melanie's POV~

It was 5:30 and Lox asked me to go pick Jacob up while she was still home with the kids. I got up to the airport and rolled down the window seeing Jacob there. "Look I found the perfect hooker. How much?" "Haha very funny. Nice to see you Mel. Open the trunk." I clicked the button as he headed towards the back of the car. "Nice to see you too Jacob. Your son's been asking for you." He smiled. He's basically his son because Carter wasn't there and Jacob was there with Lox when Alex was 2 months old. "I've been asking for him too. Let's go." We both laughed and I drove back to Mahogany's house. I pulled up into the driveway and as I stopped the car I saw Lox and Alex run out. Jacob got out the car. "Alex!! Lox!!" He gave them both a hug. "Daddy!! I missed you. And mommy too." "She cries a lot." He whispered in his ear. "Lox. I'm here. It's okay." He pulled her in for another hug. "I missed you so much Jacob. I love you." "I love you too Lox." I opened the trunk and went inside. I saw Derek on the couch. "Mom. Where's Dad?" It looked like he was on the verge of crying. "He went on a trip to Arizona for 2 months." "But he never said goodbye or anything." "I know. I'm sorry. I'm upset too. I didn't know he was leaving. But we'll be here a lot with Lox and Jacob and Alex. Okay?" He let a tear escape. "Okay." I pulled him in for a hug. I was so upset to see Derek like this. "I'll be right back." I went up to a guest room and called Cameron. "Cameron. I know where you went." "Mel. I'm sorry okay I just couldn't tell you because I didn't want you to be upset-" "Cameron you just made it worse not even saying goodbye to our 7 year old son who's upset because he misses his dad!!" "Really?" "Yeah Really. He's upset and keeps asking for you." "I'll Face Time you later I gotta go." "Of course. Bye Cameron." "Bye Mel. I lov-" I hung up. I didn't feel like I needed to hear those words if I didn't feel it. I went back downstairs to Derek. They were all playing and watching a movie. I motioned Lox to go outside so I could tell her what happened. "I'm so sorry Mel. You guys are welcome here anytime you'd like. It's hard going through it but it's even harder when you couldn't say a goodbye." She pulled me in for a hug. I hugged her back tightly. "Thanks Lox. I appreciate it a lot." We walked back in and saw the boys knocked out. He let a slight giggle out which woke Jacob up. "Oh sorry to wake you up." I said. Mainly being my fault for laughing. "It's okay Mel. So how are you doing?" "Good. But Cameron left for 2 months and I didn't get to say goodbye. Neither did Derek." "Oh. Sorry Mel. Just know Lox and I are always here for you okay?" "Thanks Jacob." I hugged him and we all decided to watch a movie in the den and leave the kids sleeping upstairs. They sat next to each other and giggled the whole movie. I got jealous but I'm okay because I know Lox missed him for the 3 months he was gone. I just went on my phone and scrolled onto Twitter.

@mel_dallas

It's upsetting how some people say sorry just because they think it's mandatory. Not because they actually feel it.

I soon got favorites and retweets but I didn't care anymore. I'm just so upset and depressed he left and it has even been a week yet. I felt my phone ring.

C-I can face time now

M-Derek's sleeping so I'll call you later when he wakes up.

C-Well then can I face time you? I miss you lots

M-Sure

He called and I went upstairs to talk to him. "Hi Cam." "Hey Mel. How are you?" "I don't know what you wanna hear. That I'm great and happy. Or that I'm depressed and upset seeing you gone."
