Chapter 12

Melanie's POV~

"Cameron. I know you care but you're acting so immature. You have to start acting like an adult and most importantly start becoming a father. We have a child on the way and you still act like you're 16." I stormed out the room. I just blew up. I couldn't take it anymore. He should be acting like a grown up instead of a teenager. "Is that really how you feel?" Cameron said grabbing my hand. "Kind of. It feels like I always have to make up for your mistakes and forgive you so easily Cam." "I'm sorry Mel. I didn't know that. I honestly didn't know that's how I acted. I'm just getting used to the fact that I'm gonna be a dad again. And it's just nerve racking at times." "I understand Cameron. Just control yourself okay? I forgive you." I gave him a kiss on the cheek. I changed and grabbed my keys. "I'm gonna go pick D up." "Okay. I'll make breakfast." I drove to Mahogany's house. "Hey Mel." "Hey Lox. Where's D?" "Derek! Your moms here!" He walked out. "Hi Mom." "Hey Derek. Dad's home so we're gonna have breakfast." He nodded and we got in the car. I drove home and walked in with Derek. "Dad!!" He ran towards Cameron. "Derek careful with the stove!!" "OWWW!!!" Cameron held his hand. "Sorry Dad. I didn't know." "It's okay Bud." He ran it under cold water. "You okay babe?" "Yeah I'll be fine. Breakfast is ready though." "Haha Thanks. D sit down and I'll fix you a plate." He sat down at the table. I gave him waffles and we all ate. "Thanks Mom. Thanks Dad. Sorry about your hand." "It's okay D. Don't worry about it." Cameron sat down and ate his breakfast. "Can we go swimming today?" Derek asked. "Yeah sure. Cam do you want to?" "Yeah. We haven't used the pool in a while. It'll be fun." I decided to make sandwiches and just have a lazy day. We all changed and went out to the pool. We swam for a bit and played Marco Polo. "Mom I'm hungry." "I knew it was gonna come out of either you or your dad. What kind of sandwich do you want?" "Turkey." He got out and sat on the bench. He ate and soon waited for Cameron and I to get back in. "This is a pretty good sandwich Babe." "Thanks. I finished so D you wanna get back in?" He nodded and jumped in. We hadn't told him that I was pregnant but he realized I had a bump so he figured it out. Which saved us the talk we would've had. "So Derek how do you feel about have a little brother or sister?" "I'm happy. I want a brother to play with." "I figured." He let out a little laugh. We swam a little longer in the pool and got out afterwards.
