Callum picked me up at 5, telling me "We have to actually seem like we're dating, now get in". Oh how romantic. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him. We went to a small restaurant in town. "I don't know how you drink this!" He whined screwing up his face after tasting his latte. "It's amazing" I smiled at him. "So what's the game plan?" I asked. He eyed me raising an eyebrow. "The what?" He asked. "Are we just going to pretend for the rest of our lives?" I asked. "Depends, are you really going to tell me what happened between you and Pin in London?" Callum asked. "It's on need to know basis, sorry" I shrugged. "We need to start acting like a couple around the stables, who knows when they're going to come by again" he noted. I nodded in agreement. While Callum was talking I zoned out and began looking at the menu. "Will you split a brownie with me?" I asked looking up at me. "Really?" He asked. "Yeah you're right, maybe I do want my own brownie" I sighed. "This is serious!" He nudged me with his elbow. "So is my hunger!" I said sticking my tongue at him. Callum began tickling my stomach making me burst out in fits. "Stop!" I giggled, my leg shot up trying to protect my stomach and I kneed the table. "Are you okay?" He asked with a chuckle. "No so go get me a brownie" I glared at him. "That seems fair" he nodded.
I was about to take a forkful of brownie when Pin and Zoe entered the cafe hand in hand. Callum hadn't spotted them yet. "Do you want some?" I offered him. "I'm okay, thanks" he said taking a sip of his tea. "Callum, have some of my brownie" I glared at him, while moving my eyes into Zoe and Pin's direction. Callum took the mouthful of brownie, my heart breaking a little as he did. "Hey guys!" Zoe called pulling Pin in our direction. "Hey" Callum nodded in her direction but his focus was on me, he was trailing small circles on the back of my hand. "Can we join you?" Zoe asked. I raised my eyebrow at her and chuckled a little. "Sure" I forced a smile. Zoe took a seat across from me while Pin sat across from Callum. Not awkward at all. I sighed in my head. "We were just about to see a movie, wanna come?" Zoe asked. "We were?" Pin asked in confusion. "Yeah that movie we were going to see" she said to Pin, through gritted teeth. "Oh yeah, right" he nodded. "Actually we have plans" Callum answered. "We do?" I asked. "My parents are holding this fancy party with all these boring old people and I know it doesn't sound fun at all but I have to make an appearance, would you like to come with me?" He asked. I gave his hand a light squeeze and smiled. "I'd love to".
After spending an hour waiting for my mother to finish with curling my hair, I slipped on an electric blue coloured dress with a slit up the side of my leg. I wore black stilettos with my dress and quickly applied a touch of lip gloss.

"Oh my" my mother gasped at the sight of me. "You like it?" I asked nervously for her response. " I would have gotten highlights done but it will do" she said. I rolled my eyes and left my bedroom. Callum stood in a black suit with a thin black tie by the bottom of the stairs waiting for me. "Do I look okay?" I asked self consciously. "You look... amazing" he mumbled lost for words. "Thank you" I smiled at him taking his hand as he escorted me towards his SUV. "Is there anything I shouldn't say or mention around your parents?" I asked fiddling with the blue nail polish on my hands. "Anything you say they'll complain about, so it doesn't matter" he mumbled. "We all have parents like that" I said relating to him. I took his hand in a comforting way and gave it a soft supporting squeeze.
