After a long four hours ride searching for Brooklyn after she went missing we all met back in the boat shed.
"She could be dead!" Gabby exclaimed.
"She could also be playing a trick" Callum shrugged.
"You're stupider then you look if you believe she would do that to us" I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah because you know her so well huh!" Callum glared stepping closer to me in an intimidating way.
I rolled my eyes at him. I don't know what I was feeling for Brooklyn but it was something and I just couldn't get enough of her.
The walkie talkie began to fill the air with static making all of us turn to the small box that was sitting on Brooklyn's sleeping bag. "Brooklyn's gone back to London" James stated.
"There's a path you can cross not far from where you are" he added.
He began to describe directions to the path, but my mind wouldn't stop thinking about Brooklyn. She wouldn't leave us, she couldn't do that to me. I guess I didn't know her as well as I thought I did.

The next few days felt different, the whole team was off, Callum and I argued more then I thought was possible. Pin and Zoe barely talked and Gabby and Callum avoided each other as much as possible.
Pin replaced Brooklyn and I could tell Zoe wasn't happy about it. After long hours of training the team still wasn't getting itself together. Mrs Harris stopped past most days bringing freshly baked cookies, sandwiches and biscuits. Even with Brooklyn gone, it still felt like she was here.

As I began to untack Saturn's tack a loud commotion cane from further down the hall, the familiar scent of Chanel no.5 ran through my nose and I turned to find Mrs Harris standing at the stall door.
"Mrs Harris, What can I do for you?" I asked pulling off the saddle and hanging it over the door.
"It's Brooklyn, Ryder I need you to help her" she mumbled a tear rolling down her cheek.
The next few moments I don't recall, it was as if I blacked out, I found myself sitting in the small lounge area along with the rest of the team as Mrs Harris spoke to us.
"When Brooklyn first started riding, it was such a passion, the glow in her face when she was on the horse" her mother sighed.
"She began to ride at Branwhick and that glow began to fade, she turned into a perfectionist refusing to make a mistake, she'd spend hours mastering a jump she couldn't get, spending hours beating her personal best, I used to have to drag her off a horse when she got into a mindset like that" she shook her head.
"This place changed her, I saw that glow again, after everything this year had brought her, I saw her love again" she stopped herself and looked in between Callum and Pin, my heart broke.
"Brooklyn was never the friendly type, she never cared for making friends, but she did" she said looking around the room at all of us.
"She has a try out today at Branwhick I know my daughter, I know what she needs and she needs you guys" she encouraged. Pin pulled his keys out of his pocket and Callum stood up beside him.
"Let's go bring back our girl" Gabby smiled.

The long silent car ride felt like eternity. Tension was rising with Callum and Pin. Zoe reluctantly got in the car, I knew she didn't want to bring Brooklyn back.
"Do you think she'll come back?" Becky asked breaking the silence.
"She has to" Gabby mumbled.
"No she doesn't" I disagreed.
The car fell back into complete silence.

Branwhick was huge, the stables were like a castle, built from stone and modern wood. The horses that filled the stalls were worth more then most people's homes. It was perfect. I knew there was no chance Brooklyn would choose Holloway over this place.
"In the riding arena" a girl pointed to a large indoor arena on the other side of the courtyard, after Zoe had asked nicely if she had seen Brooklyn.
"Hurry!" Becky exclaimed taking off into a sprint, we all followed close behind. When we all stomped into the arena, a few of us puffing, our chests heaving I looked to Brooklyn, all I could see was her back, her small figure beside King standing in front of the coach.
"Wait!" Pin called.
When Brooklyn turned to us, my heart stopped, she looked tired bags under her eyes, skin pale, her eyes weren't filled with joy or excitement but sadness. I didn't recognise her, and it made my heart ache for her.
When she stepped closer to us, I could see her weight loss. Her face had gotten skinnier.
"It's always been my home" she mumbled. My heart sank as those words fell out of her mouth.
I could feel her eyes on me as mine just sat in the dirt, trying to avoid her gaze.
"You should go" she whispered. I could feel every body part telling me to follow the others but they wouldn't move. After a moment Gabby's hand sat on my shoulder, encouraging me to follow her. She was meant to be the one to save me and yet she left, just like everyone else.
