Book Five Chapter Forty-Eight

"You're protective of him, just like you are Jackson, why?" This can't end well, Sarah looks at her, Alena is ready to throw her out.

"You don't have a right to comment on who lives here, especially people you don't even know" Alena's right yet Sarah laughs at her.

"I know Marcus, not well, but I met him a few times while being Jacksons accountant, I know him more than you do Alena. He is very much like Jackson, but everything is about him" I look ready to step in, Jackson shakes his head, I can't always fight for her.

"I don't care, honestly, I know Marcus well, more than you know, I think it's time you left" Standing up Alena walks to Freya, clearly having enough of her mum.

"Thank you for coming, Sarah is ready to go now, come down sometime though with Max" Freya smiles, nodding, looking at Sarah, clearly waiting for her to move, she stays sat looking at me.

"Mum let's just go. I need to get Max home in time for bed" Freya walks towards the door and grabbed their coats, Sarah following quietly, her eyes on Alena as she does. 

She really hates the idea of me being here, Jackson walks to Alena and I sit back, close my eyes, I have never been so tired from Christmas in my whole life. Everyone leaves, I get up and go to bed, I need sleep, and right now. 

I fall asleep instantly, my body too tired to stay awake, too much alcohol the night before and not enough sleep. The knock at the door waking me, jumping out of bed, I open it, Alena and Jackson stood there looking at me.

"What has happened?" I look at Jackson, something has happened, it has to have.

"Alena had a bright idea, tell him Alena" Okay, it isn't bad, I look at Alena intrigued wondering what her bright idea was.

"I was tired, and knew I would fall asleep, I wanted to make sure I was awake to give him his whip, and well, I kind of took two of his weird pills" She is so dead, I laugh, trying not to worry Jackson.

"Good luck mate, you're going to need it" I laugh looking at Jackson, trying to make a joke out of it, those pills have bad side effects.

"Do you really think that helps? I don't even know what will happen, I never took two before" He is right, Alena's body should have only had less then half, not even a full one and she took two.

"Honestly, nothing, depending on her body, she will be awake anything from 24 to 72 hours, then she will crash, and you won't be able to wake her for a few days" I laugh looking at Alena, leaving out the bad side effects.

"That is all? Nothing else can happen?" Jackson is pushing for more information and I won't lie.

"Like everything, there are side effects, heart palpitations, chest pains, hallucinations, heart attack, just like most pills obviously, she will be fine Jackson honestly, I took two all the time" 

Shrugging my shoulder I try make it seem like nothing, yet inside I look at her and I am worried, how will she cope with the effects she is going to have?

"Yeah, but you are bigger than me, and like four times the size of Alena. Is there nothing we can do to make it go out her system faster?" I wish I could help, but this is one thing I can't help with.

"No, it depends on her body, how quick it works through, how much energy her body uses she just needs to wait till it wears off, but she won't be sleeping tonight that is for sure" He isn't going to leave her alone now.

"Well, I guess I will go grab a coffee then" She laughs, turning to leave, my hand grabbing her does she have a death wish!

"No Caffeine Alena, none at all, it isn't safe and will increase the side effects, you don't even need it anyway you won't feel tired" She looks at me seeing the concern.
