2 HELLO FRIEND

Waking up to the same familiar sound, I walk downstairs, and MJ is clinging to Alena's leg, seeing me he jumps up and runs to sit with me.

Passing me the car and smiling at me. Sitting I try to keep him busy as Alena cooks without getting too pulled in. Looking at him I can see myself now, now that I am allowing it, he has my eyes.

Alena places the plates on the table, I wonder if she knows I am Marcus, I can't think like that. I need to stop thinking she knows, she doesn't know who I am. Alena's phone begins ringing, and she walks towards the kitchen her voice quiet.

"How do you know what I said?" I want to ask who it is, but that would be going to far.

"I should have known Georgina would tell Liam, and I should have known he would tell you" I am guessing this is Jackson, sitting I continue eating, she is not very good at talking quiet, I can hear her.

"I am not, I was just pointing out how much he is like him. Honestly, Jackson, you would understand if you were here" She stops talking, I can see the smile on her face.

"I will see you tonight" She hangs up smiling walking back to the table.

"Daddy is home tonight for the weekend" I need a new plan, I can't let Jackson come back, and me still be like Marcus, I need to act totally different.

"That is good, MJ clearly has been missing him" I smile, and she nods, sitting I spend the day on the laptop, reading articles after articles waiting to see if anyone tracked down the old babysitter.

It seems to be a dead cause, my heart knows she is gone, they can't let people know they need to be here, so the only way to make the job vacant is to make someone disappear. Alena cooking and bringing food to me, sitting we stay quiet again, afterwards MJ bringing me the cars, getting up I walk to his car mat, sitting down with him as he plays, trying to keep him happy.

After a while, the door opens, turning to look at it Jackson is stood there the kids running to him and crying, clearly they have missed him. Standing up I walk towards him, I know I have to if I hide and wait it will look suspicious, shaking his hand he smiles at me, then to Alena.

"Jackson, it is nice to meet you in person off paper" Nodding I go to answer, trying to make myself sound different but I know it won't work.

"Adrian" I move back to the table sitting down, Jackson walking into the living room, him Alena and the kids cuddling watching TV, yet I can feel his eyes on me. Whether that is because he knows or the fact he is trying to figure out what sort of guy I am I have no idea.

Alena taking the kids to bed, Jackson walks to the kitchen grabbing the whiskey and two glasses, he knows. He walks towards the table sitting down smiling at me.

"Thanks for this Bro, it means a lot to me to know she is safe" Looking at him shocked, I can't believe he knows I knew he wouldn't be fooled.

"You look confused, sorry in the navy we called each other bro, did you not in the army?" I feel my body relax, maybe he doesn't know.

"No, not really. Honestly, I am happy it is a job and a good one" He nods and smiles.

"I am glad" He pushes the glass towards me filling it with whiskey.

"You do drink right?" Nodding I agree.

"Not often or much but yes I like a good whiskey" I laugh picking the glass up.

"I am glad we thought of this, I got a call this week about someone from Alena's past and knowing there is someone here means I know she is safe" I look at him, wondering who it is.
