Book Six Chapter Thirty-Four

"Right it is time for bed, Katie, Isabella, do you need help? I will come up to check you are in bed though" 

They shake their heads walking upstairs, MJ asleep on my knee, so I carry him up and get him in bed. 

He is still asleep, not waking up, so walking out I go upstairs to check on the girls, both laid in their beds. Saying good night to them I walk back down, opening the door to Alena's room, she is still in bed. 

Walking over I sit next to her, she is really out cold. Sitting next to her I wait to see if she wakes up, Jackson walking in a few hours later looking at me confused.

"She has been asleep since one this afternoon, I got the kids from school, cooked and everything she just slept" I only remember her like this once my eyes looking at Jackson.

"Is she pregnant?" He laughs walking in.

"Not a chance, after she fucked up with the pill twice I made her use something that she didn't have to remember to take" I laugh and nod, still not sure why she is so tired.

"Marcus, it will be a crash and burn thing, she has been on the go none stop, then there is the fact she has to get used to us both playing with her again. Then that night with Melanie, and you straight after, and last night" I nod accepting his explanation, she will be fine tomorrow, hopefully.

"I will sleep downstairs, you get some sleep tonight Jackson, won't be good both of you too tired to move will it" Walking out I go down, turning the tv on I lie on the sofa, slowly my eyes closing. 

Waking up Jackson is stood there.

"Go to bed, I am at home today" Nodding I do as I am told for once, going straight to bed I fall asleep, waking up I roll over and go straight back to sleep again.

"Marcus" I roll over to see Alena stood next to the bed, she moves and sits on the bed next to me.

"Everything okay?" She turns smiling at me nodding.

"Is there any point moving? I mean it, if Max still wanted to get me, he would come to America, then what? None of the team is there to help this time" I can't tell her he won't because no one knows that for sure.

"I won't say he won't Alena because I saw you, I saw exactly what you were like, and I know it is possible he will. I will say this though, even in America you will be safe as long as you don't meet him again" She stays quiet, my arms wrapping around her.

"Where is Jackson?"

"Had to go to work, they called him in" Kissing her neck I nod, this next week will be a rollercoaster of emotions for her.

"Look, I do know this. You have me and Jackson there to protect you. If you want we will hire someone to be with you when we aren't to be sure."

"No, honestly it is fine Marcus I don't want to feel like I am never free, I will just have to try to relax and hope for the best" Kissing her I nod.

"Five years before he gets out, five years and who knows he might have even changed kitten" We can hope anyway.

"Oh, Peter showed up, he brought this" She hands me the envelope, opening it, it is a contract.

"Pass it here" She takes it from my hand and reads through it, her face shocked once again she rips it in half.

"Alena, what the hell are you doing? Could you not tell me what it says first?"

"No, because you would likely sign" She rips it again, and then again my hands stopping her.

"What did it say, Alena?" I look at her, waiting for her to tell me.
