Esme POV

It had been 2 days since that dick Ashley had stormed out. Poor Belle. I understand she loves him but I wish she could see she deserved so much better.

It was the first of September tomorrow and also the start of my film course. I had always loved movies and film making. I'd love to one day write scripts and music score films. I love how with the right words, set and music you can create any mood imaginable. Unfortunately my parents don't agree and my friends aren't that sure either.

I dropped out of university last year after only half a term. I know you might call me stupid but I just really didn't think it was for me. I didn't want to waste my money and my parents money on a degree I'll never need. My parents weren't pleased when they found out. I tried to explain I was following my dream. After years as a teenager going through depression and not knowing what to do with my life I had finally found a purpose. I never told my parents about my depression or anxiety which I still struggle with today so in a way it's kind of my fault they didn't understand. To be honest we were really ever that close. Partially because I shut almost everyone out when I was 14. We haven't talked since the big argument. That was when I moved to Norwich with Belle and Millie moved in 2 months later. I had got a part time job at costa with Belle which wasn't ideal but it paid the rent and it was literally a 2 minute walk from the apartments. I loved living with Belle and Millie they were such a laugh and we were really close. We've been friends since we were 12 and we have been through a lot of tough times together.

I was really looking forward to starting the course. Hopefully this course will be my big break and I can finally start to get proper jobs in film or theatre because I'll have the right training.

I walked down the corridor to our flat and opened the door. Our flat was modern and simple. The main living area was decorated in the colours black, white, green and a tiny bit of blue. I loved it.

"Where have you been?" Belle asked. It was getting on 6. I'd been out for 3 hours.

" Out shopping. I needed to get some stuff for starting my course tomorrow" I replied.

" Are you sure this course is a good idea? I mean film is not the easiest thing to get into" Belle continued.

For Gods sake " Yes it's what I want to do" I try not to lose my temper. Out of all the people I know I'd think they'd be the ones who understood.

"Okay!" Belle said putting her hands in the air in surrender. I give her a angry stare.

" It's alright Esme if that's what you want then who are we to stop you" Mille finally speaks up.

" Thankyou" I said still angry that they couldn't see I was finally happy about something. I shrugged it off.

I walked to my room which was decorated in the colours black, white and royal blue. The bed was against the back wall with space either side where there was a white chest of drawers on the left with a royal blue table lamp on it with matching white swirls to the bed. On the right there is a small white dressing table. It was pretty much a table with two tiny drawers at one side and a stool/seat that tucked neatly underneath. Finally there was a mirror at the back. The bed itself had a white cover decorated with blue and black swirls. Then there was a small black modern wardrobe behind the door. My window that was opposite the door overlooked the river. It was really the best view. I remember looking at the flat before we brought it and I fell in love with that view straight away.

I put away my new things- a canon camera id been saving months for, some new notebooks and pens, and a new bag to carry everything in. The bag was satchel style and blue with white spots on it. I walked back in the living room where Belle and Mille were watching outnumbered.

" I'm going to cook pasta do you want some?" I asked the two. It took them a few seconds to acknowledge that I spoke and then they both nodded. " I'm guessing that's a yes then" I walked around the huge L-shaped white sofa to the small but manageable kitchen. I always try to keep the kitchen spotless because I'm weird like that. Though my room is another story. I get out the ingredients and start cooking.

"Here you go!" I put the food on the table. Belle and Millie jump off the sofa and grab a bowl. We sit back on the sofa to eat because we obviously don't know what a table is for and continue to watch TV. Can you tell I'm very sarcastic yet? It's practically a hobby.

"Cliché romcom movie time?!" Millie shouts.

"Defiantly!" Me and Belle shout back. We all laugh. Watching annoyingly cliché and predictable movies was always a stupid thing of ours. I mean who doesn't like laughing at the idiot characters who seem to always do the most stupid thing imaginable. We decide to watch 'baggage claim'. God here we go again!
