Backstage

Chapter 14

Belle had left this morning for her trip to cardiff, and Esme were Dan were together for the day, planning the set I think, so I went to the yard to ride, and later was going to get the train to lowerstoft as I wasnt sure when I would get chance to go to the beach, and in promised Elle I would visit her animal rescue she had set up down there recently, and I really wanted to know how they were getting on.

After tacking up I walked sugar down the rode in hand before reaching the round canter which had finaly been finished, in the hope to do some light fitness training I found the sign which had the opening times. 9-11 that gives me plenty of time, I decided to trot 3 laps, walk 1 then canter 2, and repeated it in the other direction, being only 3 furlongs round I could have done a few more but I thought it was best to not do loads, as I had only been hacking and doing the occaional local show over the summer.

Once I was home by about 11, Eddie text asking what time I wanted to leave tomorrow, and whether I wanted to meet him at starbucks. At 1 o clock we sat down with our warm coffees, and discussed plans for travelling as we were going to the Isle of white the following day, and because I had booked the ferry  from limington at half past 9, we agreeed Eddie wpould pick me up at 6:00. Although it was early It meant we then had most of the day there rather than spending it in the car.

That stupid alarm i thought as it buzzed, waking me up at 3:30, so I had time to get ready and wash my hair, so it going dry naturally. Despitewanting to stay curled up in my duvet, I knew for the rest of the week I would be curled up in Eddies arms, so climbed out. Scrambling about the wardrobe, Esme pocked her head round the door.

"oh its fine I woundered what the hell you were doing, I thought you had fallen in the wardrobe or something" Esme said half asleep.

"I am not that clumsy" I said, as I slipped on a soft toy collapsing in a heap.

"really" she laughed, before she went back to her bed.

I really need to learn how to be a mouse, when it comes to these early morning things I dseem to wake everyone up everytime.

Almost ready I thought as my phone pinged with a text ffrom Eddie, just leaving will be with you in 5, it read. I then finished writing the note to everyone, and went out locking the door behind me. Wow I hadnt been on holiday in so long, it would be good to let my hair down and have some fun, and have an amazing week with Eddie.

The journey there was so relaxing, and Eddie and myself had so much planned, we also wanted to go to portsmouth shopping, as well as a day on the beach. With plenty of time we stopped at costa, were i had a iced cooler, because it was really warm, which makes a change from Brititain, especaially during october. We sat on the deck and wrapped in Eddies arm, I noticed a young girl watching us, looking jealous, and it made me realise how lucky I was. Not long ago that would have been me, thinking how unlucky I was but now life seemed to beicking along smoothly, and I had what I had alwasy wanted, sugar, my boy and my family. 

After checking into our b&b we went down to the beach were I payed for 2 sunbeds to lay on in the sun, whilst it lasted. A cute afternoon was spent on the beach, before we wenrt back to change out of our shorts, into some clothes to go out for a meal in at the reef. I chose a cream dress, which was floral in print and strapless, so I wore a baby pink cardigan to keep me warm.

Yet again we had a delicious meal, and it was almost exactly the same from when I had been there as a child. Eddie then decided to drag me down the arcades on the sandown pier, which I wont deny was a lot of fun. It was like being a child all over again, as the 2ps rolled out of the machines, we left with plently of little prizes and a me to you bear, which Eddie had won. 

To get back to the b&b it was a 20 minute walk along the beach, and half way back we stopped and lay down on the soft cold sand and watched the stars. Eddie pulled me closer, and kissed me and everywhere, around me stopped it was like I was living some sort of fantasy. We lay there for a while, before we got back up , and climbed the stairs onto the promenade, so Eddie could stop at the local co-op as he insisted one getting a bottle of wine, and other essentails.

I showered and put on my summer pjamas, and Eddie then went in after me, whilst I got into our kingsized bed. I flicked through my messages ad texted the girls, it was weird I had only been gone a day and I missed them I had got so used to being with them all the while, and although we got on each others nerves you knew you could count on them. I also text my family, as they had all been at work, so I asked how they got on as well as asking whether my brother had made the training squad for liverpool. Lastly I text Emily just to check on Sugar, adnd make sure she was alright.

By the time i had finished texting everyone Eddie came out, and clambered into bed next to me.
