Backstage

Chapter 19

The war was on. I spent half my life dedicated to this battle for no one to notice my work. I spent about 24 hours a day worrying about how I looked but the war came about when I tried to do something about it, my hair started it's rebellion. I had a scene to shoot my last one actually then I was off to download! I was ecstatic! Me, Liam, Jake and Acer where all going off together this evening after my filming and I was buzzing!

Download was one festival I had never been to and bring me the horizon was headlining! This was my absolute dream to see them live and now was my chance! I was originally going with Liam and Jake aka my main slags but after getting with Acer he was coming with us. I met Acer through Liam. How me and Acer got talking was a odd case actually.

Me and Liam had been shopping several weeks back and his mate Acer saw me apparently they were chatting a few days later Acer happened to mention who I was and seemed keen to meet me. Liam introduced us and here we where. I loved him although in some ways it still felt like we were only friends.

I hadn't introduced him to any of the others yet despite having been dating almost a month now. I don't know why I hadn't but I knew I didn't want to. Not yet anyway. They were coming to pick me up off the film set much to my annoyance as I would have to put on my festival stuff which would probably make me seem like a absolute slut or twat one of the two.

I had really enjoyed filming! I am so glad that Esme had talked me into it, I had met some amazing people. Dan, Sophie and Isaac where all really lovely and so where the few other extras and actors. Me and Tom probably chatted the most though, he was such a fun boy! I hoped we stayed in touch after filming.

I had to sort my hair out now instead of later as I wouldn't have time to completely do it. I had straightened it and was now wrestling it ungracefully into a fishytail plait. (Yes I know it's called fish tail) I fluffed it up a bit and fluffed up my fringed and few straggly bits on the other side.

Grabbing my Aztec print rucksack I crammed in my makeup, three outfits taking care to position today's on top, battery powered straighteners and 50000000000000000000 hair grips. Liam had the tent and air bed so I pulled my duvet and pillow off the bed and shoved them in to my arms before heading off on the bus to the studio. I was genuinely gutted it was my last scene, as if I nearly didn't do this.

Jumping off the bus I went inside the large tower block thing, I knocked cautiously on the very same door I had knocked on three weeks ago now. Everyone was already there and Millie, who was sat with Eddie who had come to watch smiled at me. "All set for download" she screamed at me.

"Yeah all ready to go. Can not wait! Bring me the horizon, Ne-Yo, Scrillex and Ed Sheehan! Woo" I screamed back, she got to excited far to quick I was going not her.

I went and put my excessive amounts of stuff in the little side room where there stored all the props. I heard Tom ask who I was going with and Esme answered with Liam and Jake. They knew nothing about Acer, they would know eventually not today though. I stepped out of the cupboard box thing- last scene ever! How do actors do this I was just a little extra in amateur things and was broken hearted at leaving. Tom who I think sensed I was a little upset to be going suggested I got it over with as quickly as possibly which I did.

I stepped off the filming area and went and sat over with Tom.

"Hello" he smiled "You make a nice little actress"

"Aww thank you, if I am nice you must be mega-amazing or something!" I laughed

"N' aww your cute. So have you enjoyed being here?" Tom quizzed

"Loved it! From the minute I walked in to the moment I step out!" I smiled back. Tom brought out a side of me that was concealed far to often.

"I have loved it too! Met some great people" he smirked back seeming to absorb my smile
